I hate to say it, but so do I, and I hate myself for hating kids...and the biggest problem? They love me, and never leave me alone. Visiting with friends when I was home on vacation, their son couldn't pull himself off of my lap with his story book...oh boy...what fun that was:waa:

That happens to me too and I hated it until I became an uncle.

I always get the dogs too.

Best example of a movie in recent years that got killed by critics and the audience ate it up with a spoon is Pirates 2.. 54% on RT...

Then one day they'll outgrow it, and not want you to read to them...and you'll actually miss it.

^ Why is that funny? Dogs are better than kids. :woot:

Loved it. Extremely enthusiastic applause after. I didn't see hardly any evidence of most critical complaints.

We'll have to see what the larger audience thinks.

I could never hate myself for hating kids. Been that way since I was a kid myself. Always was around adults instead of other kids. No other kids were on my block. Now I have a new nephew and I told my brother that it was his choice and not to make it my responsibility by default. He's well aware of how I don't like children.

DVD Town suggests MOS wasn't DARK ENOUGH- With an enormous budget, this motion picture unsurprisingly looks excellent. Director Zack Snyder keeps his familiar tone, which is quite suitable. Man of Steel employs a darker atmosphere than one would initially imagine, but it doesn't take this route far enough. There is some interesting camerawork to be found, especially as Superman flies for the first time.

Who knows, depending on how critics regard MOS2, this situation could mirror that of the first two Star Trek movies.

Only difference is that so far, general audience reaction seems to be very positive for MOS.

Hey guys! Just came back from the Walmart 7 PM screening (which was handled pretty well actually) and my first thoughts: AWESOME. I don't get what is wrong with Critics these days. This is one of the best movies in recent memory (and Im not really that much of a Superman fan). Anyways, really enjoyed it and got thunderous applauds in my theater!

:lmao:

Might I ask what the caption in your avvy is in reference to? I could picture that fellow barking that at a young child.

Steel cut oats are my preference, btw :woo

Or they only exist in their heads. Granted, it wasn't loaded with humor, but humor like the critics want would not fit.

What Humor exists in any of Nolan's Batman's? I keep reading where is the fun? Fun??? TDK is about an insane clown blowing up gotham and turning the DA into a scarred lunatic so all of Gotham will lose hope and self destruct.. Why is Superman not allowed to have a serious movie exactly?

"We have a few special years with our children, when they're the ones that want us around. After that you're going to be running after them for a bit of attention."

Just got back from the early showing. I definetely enjoyed the movie i dont agree with the critics but i also dont agree with the others that are saying its the best superman its a very good movie but not as earth shattering as some are saying.

How is that not fun? The Joker is 1 of my heroes.

The other is Freddy Krueger.

I didn't like this line "Reeve — whose portrayal looks better and better with time — managed to be charming even when things got serious."

I like Reeve, and he's probably the best, but that element actually feels off to me. Superman now should be concerned about who gets hurt, and not saying wisecracks as he saves the day. He should be more smiley when he's USED to being Superman, and not when he's just learning the ropes.

That sounds very fair. I might come out feeling the same way. I felt that way about Batman Begins when watching it a second time.
