Surprisingly my press screening was not in 3D on Tuesday. I was so happy.

Yeah, 3D on this one is a no go. Highly recommend 2D unfortunately -- there are a lot of states in the US that only allow minimal time slots for IMAX 2D so tickets can go fast (at least in my area they did.)

Bad and no. See it in 2D IMAX D or 15/70.

I would love to see it in IMAX ANYTHING, but Im pretty sure they will all be in 3D. Had the same problem with TA.

Oh yeah, I'd love to see a turnaround just as much as the next guy. The IMDb reviews are encouraging to read. I suggest those who are down and out over RT to hop on over there and read through the reviews. Some of them do contain spoilers though.

I'm optimistic that it'll at least make it back to being borderline fresh again. There are still plenty of reviews to put up, I think.

How on Earth do you ignore a user? I assumed it would be in the drop-down under the username.

Through your User Control Panel: User CP, Settings & Options, Edit Ignore List. Then, type their name into the empty text box and click 'Okay'

You don't have a 15/70 theatre around? Most of those will show MoS in 2D IMAX although the movie wasn't shot in 70mm it will still be worth it versus wasting money on 3D. I think robot mentioned earlier some AMC theatres have the new dual barco 4k projectors with upgraded sound.

My local AMC theatres don't have that -- so I will be driving about 15 minutes out of town to go see it on a real 15/70 IMAX screen

You know, I apologize in advanced if i'm about to offend anyone, but i'm getting REALLY sick and tired of seeing critics complain about falling buildings reminding them of 9/11. I mean seriously, it's been 12 years, are we not over that already? Yes it was an awful and tragic point in our country's history, but nobody had a problem seeing building in cities getting destroyed in movies until that event happened.

When I ask whether or not we're over 9/11 already, i'm not saying we should forget about it. But i'm saying people shouldn't be getting offended every time a tragic moment happens in a film that's similar to a tragic moment in real life. Especially when that event was more than a decade ago. It's called life.

The only NON-3D IMAX (15/70) showing near me is at 1 pm. I guess that will work.

Looks like the MoS IMAX screenings in the Boston/Providence area are all reserving the first viewing of the day for non-3D (12:30, 1:00, etc). Better than nothing I guess. Might even settle for the Regal knockoff RPX, as there are more times available in 2D.

I'm just hoping that this film makes just enough back that a sequel gets made and that next time they try to properly put a balance between the story and action. They haven't hit that sweet spot yet it seems.

Anyone who needs to get psyched about this film should just read El Mayimbe's post on LatinoReview.

It has me so psyched, and now I couldn't care less about the critics.

Well...even his positive review echos the same complaints as the negative ones.

The emphasis on spectacle has made Superman a kick-ass hero while robbing him of heart.

I'm basing this on absolutely nothing, but my guess is that the movie needs to make 700 million for a sequel to be guaranteed, 600 million for it to be probable, and 500 for it to be possible. I consider this to be a conservative (lowball) guess.

I assume everyone knows that the announcement made by WB that a sequel has been green-lit means jack squat at this point. Yes? Ok, good.
