Yeah, but sadly it looks like I could kick bane's ass. lol
I hope you're joking. Because regardless of his height, Hardy is ****ing ripped.

Batman is ten feet away and Bane is walking directly in front of the camera, anyone is gonna look bigger in that context.
This doesn't prove a single thing about Bane's size.

The scar on his neck is pretty wicked looking.
I think we need to define what ripped is. If that is ripped then I am absolutely shredded. Hardy was in great shape for warrior but he is clearly not in that type of shape for this movie, at least not now. We'll see of course but a 5'10 185 pound guy in decent shape is not very intimidating to me.I hope you're joking. Because regardless of his height, Hardy is ****ing ripped.
I guess not everyone is a body-transforming freak of nature like Christian Bale.
second thisHahaha this totally cracked me up.
And to be honest, if he is anywhere near what he was in the fighter. I don't think he is smaller than he was in Bronson. He wasn't even in really good shape, or that big. Once again it was camera tricks plus his massive neck/traps.

I don't care what anyone says, Dwayne could have easily owned the role if it's written properly (and it most likely is). He can play a bad-ass no problem, ever seen Faster?

He said he was getting up to a certain weight. We don't know if that happened or not. He may be 185-190. That's cool and all but certainly not crazy big. It looks like he ate more and lifted some ehavy weights, but he certainly did not put on 30 pounds of muscle.Hardy put on 30 pounds of muscle for the part: http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/126971-tom-hardy-on-playing-bane
I agree with you 100%.
I can't stand these bandwagoners that think just because you're big means you can't act.
Dwayne played a homo for crying outloud and he played it well! He's not even a homo in real life and he pulled it off in Be Cool where he was supposed to be a gay cowboy. He's not your typical action movie buff. He doesn't have too many action movies.
Dwayne is no Broadway actor but he can act.

Ya, his size isn't intimidating at all. But who knows what this movie will bring.
Lord knows I miss Heath

One thing I find hilarious on these boards and on BOF is that every fan thinks that we are just a bunch of nerds behind a computer that have never touched a weight. I'm 6'1 205. I've played college sports and have been lifting for ten + years. I am way bigger than hardy, but by no means do i think that I should play bane. Not crazy big at all. Considering he is 5'9
The reason I want Bane to be big, is because I'm a big guy myself. And I want to know and feel the fear of a large intimidating force of a monster.
Lord knows I hate little man syndrome.
I'm 6'2, 215lbs and when short guys try to act tough. I laugh (I understand you don't have to be big to be tough, but being big does help you be scary) I know from experience
