The Dark Knight Rises Tom Hardy as Bane XIV

Maybe you should read the instructions first.

:pal:

It's interesting that every actor who's worked with Nolan says how much they enjoy working with him. You don't see actors making those sorts of statements about other directors very often anymore.
yes you do. sorry

Remember how people were saying Tom was bisexual? He isn't.

‘I had a distinct lack of male role models, apart from the ones I chose. Boys are not qualified to pick healthy ones. I held onto my immaturity.’

This much candour makes you wonder whether Hardy ever regrets being, well, quite frank. ‘I don’t regret anything I’ve ever said. It’s just a shame things are misconstrued and I don’t get the opportunity to explain.’ Not even the time he said he’d enjoyed relationships with men in his twenties?

‘I have never put my penis in a man,’ is Hardy’s characteristically direct response. ‘I’ve never had a cock in my arse, and I have no ****ing desire for it. If that’s what you like, cool. But it doesn’t do it for me.’ He’s irritated his words were taken out of context, but conceded, ‘one thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about’.

Thanks for the clarification, Tom. :funny:
Hahahaha!

"I woke up in bed, next to a naked man, staring down the barrel of a gun. The scariest thing is the safety was off"

I think that was his quote on The Johnathan Ross show that set the rumors off hahaha

Don't worry. You'll always have all the questionable gay fanart that came from Inception and that will definitely come from TDKR too.

Haha. Somehow I can't picture questionable gay Bane fan-art. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

From a Warrior review:

The scariest man in movies right now might be Tom Hardy.

I first encountered him as the charming Eames in Inception, but have since caught his performance as England's most notorious prisoner in Bronson. Now, in Warrior, he plays Tommy, a maniacal Iraq War veteran trying to take out his anger against his estranged family in the fighting ring. This becomes somewhat easier when he enters a mixed martial arts tournament against his brother Brendan (Joel Edgerton), who has put his own life on the line in order to keep his home from going into foreclosure.

It isn't just that these are violent roles Hardy has been playing. It's the absolute ferocity with which he occupies them. The man somehow makes his sinews seethe. If I were Christian Bale - who will appear opposite Hardy's villainous Bane in next summer's The Dark Knight Rises - I'd be very, very frightened.

Long time lurker. I was going through some of the Pittsburgh photos and noticed something about Bane's mask this time around. If this has already been brought up I apologize.

You can see that his mask is broken. Two tubes are noticeably sticking out and it looks like the whole bottom piece is missing. It also looks like the camera is rolling. Could this be the final battle between Bane and Batman where Bane accepts defeat and surrenders?

THERE IS A PERSON TAKING A PHOTO IN THE FRAME.

I know he's probably far enough, and the shot is a close up of Bane, but there is no way they'd allow a photographer to be infront of the camera like that. It's definitely NOT rolling.

Even if the camera isn't rolling (which it certainly seems like it is, and who knows how close or far the photog is/how close the shot is to Bane's face) that doesn't change the fact that Bane's mask is broken and he's in a position of submission.

They could have detached the lower piece to let Hardy take a breather.

He's not even in the same area as Batman (perspective). He's sitting down, taking a breather. Probably removed the tubes himself to be comfortable.

Just finished watching Warrior. Hardy was amazing. He was an animal in the ring and his acting was great. I hope this film puts away any doubt people will have about him being Bane. Even though they're still going to complain he's too small...

they twisted the tubes so that Hardy can relax? how come he didnt need this at the stadium? or infront of the City Hall? and the same with the stunguy?

sorry but this is BS. we saw a lot of pics from Hardy and the stuntguy with the mask on. we saw pics when they were filming the whole day and it was hot outside. and they never removed or twisted the tubes. the the tubes are destroyed in that shot . Wally is preparing or filming.

Maybe. Would be even better if Bane demands Batman to kill him, ala Knightfall volume 2, when Azrael-Bat takes him down. It could play a part in Batman's public redeeming about murder as well, as Batman would refuses to grant Bane's wish - and instead leaves him for the police.

So I am to believe that Bane loses just because his mask gets destroyed?

Yeah. That'd be incredibly lame .

I am assuming the final defeat will be a variation on the old 'venom tubes are disconnected' theme, showing that Bane is a cheat and Batman is the best for what is humanly possible. If they handled it in a desperate manner I'd be alright with it. Bane freaking out because he can't fall back upon his drug, and the fight becoming even. I'd want it to play out over a good length scene. Nothing immediate about it.

i don think he loses. he will be saved by [BLACKOUT]Miranda Tate and the knife[/BLACKOUT] :awesome:
