From uncovering Batman's identity, finding his Batcave, and breaking his back. Don't know another villain who has done all three.
Conjecture.
Ha! Yes, why don't we go with a cliche or predictable maneuver then? Let's kidnap or threaten Batman's love interest. Yes, that sounds like prime meat to me.
Bane didn't just want to fight Batman. He wanted to break his spirit, his will. He wanted to rule Gotham. I don't get this whole "Well, all he did wad let inmates out" thing. Bane didn't just want to pump himself with Venom and beat him in a back alley somewhere.
I'm starting to suspect that The Joker is a bit biased when coming to The Joker... hmmm.

That's not Batman, it's Azrael.

Are you serious
i have no idea who that is

Basically he was the guy who showed that Bane was not as "unstoppable" as some like to label him when faced with a foe who was not physically drained and worn out.
Two things:
1. He didn't find the Batcave. It was uncovered by accident when Batman smashed into the grandfather clock and it revealed the entrance to the Batcave.
2. He only broke Batman because Batman was physically depleted.
Again where does the unstoppable come from?
Pot, kettle, black.
And how many times in the comics have you seen the villains do that to Batman? Name me the villain and the love interest, please.
I do not like the way that Bane is portrayed in Secret Six. It's a big difference from the way he was in Bane of the Demon:

Says the guy with the avatar full of Bane images![]()
Getting petty, aren't you?
"Well, it doesn't count. Bane found it by accident. And Batman was tired and weak. Soooo, yeah that doesn't count either."
His sharp intellect and God-like physique. Are we not on the same page here?
Haven't read enough comics in my time, so I can't answer that without looking like a fool. Here's the difference though. The Joker has done it twice in 1989 and in 2008 on the big screen. I mean, you called Bane's tactics weak so I assume you have a refreshing or original tactic where The Joker shines.
is he batmans sidekick
Right back at you slick.
Petty? Speaking facts is petty?
Listen mate, Bane is far from being the first villain to discover Batman's identity. Ra's and Hugo Strange have done it for starters. In fact Ra's walked straight up to Batman in his Batcave, caught him off guard and introduced himself. Sharp intellect, half of Batman's rogues gallery has that. His "god like" physique didn't extend to him trying to take on Batman fair and square in a fight.
Two things:
1. The Joker in Batman 1989 had a romantic infatuation with Vicki. He took her hostage because he wanted her for himself. It had nothing to do with Batman.
2. The Joker in TDK took Rachel hostage for Harvey Dent's sake, not Batman's. Her death was a major contributor in his tactic to corrupt and manipulate Harvey.
Neither of them used her as a tool or bait in a master plan to get Batman.

Yes, I'm sure we can squeeze the Joker in that gallery as well then. Huh?
Maybe you can try to convince me again that the Joker's intellect is special because he's a mad man.

What gallery? The gallery of people who know Bruce is Batman? Yes, it's been strongly hinted Joker knows (See A Death in the Family. I can scan the pages if you want). In Batman RIP it was flat out confirmed he knew.
But the difference is the Joker doesn't care. It's not the Bruce Wayne persona that Joker is interested in. It's Batman that fascinates him. Again also shown in TDK. He even went so far as to protect Batman's identity from exposure by Mr. Reese because he didn't want to lose the thrill of challenging Batman.
Why would I try and convince you of that? The proof is spread over the pages of comics from the last seven decades. If you don't want to believe the obvious, that's your choice.
Brilliant response. You've out done yourself this time![]()
Im not a hero...not a comic reader I take it.
I would love to come in on this discussion, but it seems The Joker is doing a good job on his own.![]()

Nope, not that.
Yes, The Joker's intellect is above Bane's and every other villain's because he is a Psychotic. By George, I guess Charlie Manson IS a genius.

Thank you. I gotta say, It's far better than just continuing to pull things out of my a** and hoping to god it flys, but yeah. I feel honored.
I said I would still post, just not as often. Thanks man. Glad to see you didn't fly the coop either![]()
