I want to see a recent picture of Hardy, he has to be hitting the roids hard right now. Or maybe he was telling the truth when he said "its alot of fat, and camera trickery", regardless, I want recent pics!

Has anybody even thought of the possibility?

Will Bane break Batman's back?

From a realistic point of view, could it happen in the movie? Cause it took awhile for Bruce to heal up,and giving the fact the movie is over 2 hours...:woot:

It's not needed.

All Bane has to do is tear Batman apart in the worst way possible.

Break his legs, an arm. Beat him so soundly and almost perfectly that it also breaks Batman's spirit.

Since it's never happened to Batman before in this series.

It'd be even more powerful if it happened in the brand new Batcave.

Add to the fact that Bruce will probably be even more exhausted dealing with Bruce Wayne activities as well as dealing with Batman activities(now being actively hunted by the police).

That could definitely contribute to Bruce's mental break at the hands of Bane.

It's more likely he'll beat him at in inch of his life than break his back. Although I would be up to seeing it.

go all the way, I say

break his back, make it spectacular

I think it'd be nice if Bane, after learning Batman's identity, followed Batman/Bruce to the Waynes' grave. Then he would confront Bats there, tear him apart and leave him barely alive.

He has the wrong kind of charisma for Bane. He is not on Hardy's galaxy, talent wise.
I actually think Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a great actor, great entertainer, and could certainly take on some meatier and heavier roles, that said, I agree completely. There is something about him that doesn't mesh well with Bane.

Found 2 fairly recent pictures of Hardy, apparently taken this month

Nice! He is going to look like a beast by the time he starts filming his scenes in late May or early June.

Bale better ready and ripped himself!

Here is a great interview with Tom Hardy about Warrior. Read the last question where he is asked the key to playing crazy characters. His response is perfect. I can totally see him bringing all of that stuff he mentioned to Bane. Seriously, read it, I think it gives some insight into how he will play Bane.

This was the same type of fearlessness Nolan ascribed to Heath, ensuring his confidence in the performance. I'm hoping for an encore here.

poor hardy had to loose a lot of fat and has to gain it again now:-) almost like christian but not so extreme of course...
when he mentioned trickery he made a molding gesture whith his hands so i assume either cgi or muscle suit...maybe a bit of both....
any possibilities that they enhance his height like for example mr. hyde in leagues by copying him in again?

Will Nolan's Bane be from Latin America? I think it would fit in nicely since the corruption in many of those countries breeds intense violence, Bane could be a product of that. It's interesting that Tom Hardy has all these tattoos, which just adds to the Latin look since in many gangs in Latin America it is necessary to tattoo the body.

I think ending these movies with Batman being broken would be a bold and amazing thing. How many other superhero movies have the good guy lose?

I hope Nolan has the balls to do that. I think he does.

Also to see Hardy as a real bad guy, check out The Take.

Nolan did that in The Dark Knight, brah.

Batman didn't really lose. Gotham didn't find out Dent was a bad guy and although he is being chased by the police, he's still carrying on his mission.

I just think it'd be amazing if Bane actually ends Batman in this movie. Destroys him. Physically and in spirit. Would be a totally uncliche and ballsy way to end a superhero movie. With the bad guy getting away and the good guy totally defeated.

Not at the end though. Like at the end of the first act or the beginning of the second. If the title is any indication, Batman is going to rise. I truly do think this will be a glorious moment for the character. The complete opposite of what TDK's ending was.

Hmm maybe yea. Show Batman utterly defeated, then his rise back up.

I really don't like the title of the movie though, but eh.

It does what it has to do, it's nothing beautiful or anything. I love it because it seems to make total sense to me.

If Nolan does this right, I think what happens in the film will improve the title. Because the title always related to what will happen in the story for Nolan.
