You know what I hate about those people, they are never willing to take a chance. Every tale deserves to be heard.
lol, oh I'm, willing to take a chance, I'm just tired of reading fan scripts about symbiotes.

Well you can't belame that element of the comic-book universe, we can't belame no one. Although there are many people to belame for the outcome/execution of the symbiote storyline in Spider-Man 3, you can't belame the fans for wanting to see them execute it with more enthusiasium, care and respect.

So I wonder when we'll get some significant news.
Probably by mid-year 2008 or near the end of 2008. By then the villains should be revealed, cast should be revealed, directors, producers, etc.

Well similar to my take on Electro and Mysterio things are seriously switched up. :cwink:

Symbiotes themselves actually don't come into play till the third or fourth act. The rest all revolves around Eddie Brock and Cletus Kassidy with a surprise villain (similar to Shocker) thrown into the mix. Lots of interesting dynamics to who these characters are that I've personally never seen explored before- such as Eddie Brock's struggle to change (like in the cartoon) and the horror of Cletus Kassidy before he became Carnage. It's not your typical comic book film, it's 'Zodiac' more or less with comic elements thrown into the mix- so 'tdk' more or less.

As for Sinister Six, still happening- just creating a bridge that can lead to the themes I want to explore in that film.

So instead of just one SM film sequel that I'll be writing, there's going to be two.

Well, fans of Venom were disappointed by the outcome of the character from the film itself and what this is saying is that they want to see Venom get another chance to be done right once and for all like so other villains like: Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, etc. Every comic-book character deserves to have a well representation/incarnation of the fans expectations, that's why many comic-book films are being remade because they didn't deliver to the majority of the fans who grew up reading the comics at which the films were based upon.

LOL No, what does belame mean ?:woot:

he meant that you wrote that wrong.
it's blame, man...not belame.

Well, I've heard so many people complain about the fans that are backing up Venom's return and frankly I'm getting way more sick and tired of hearing them complain about it. They act like it's their fault that Venom sucked in Spider-Man 3 and cry over the fact that the fans just simply wanted their favourite villain to turn out great alike Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin.

Well assuming he's writing now we'll probably hear something in May.

He's an excellent screenwriter that has a wonderful personality and common sense about story.

I listed to his podcast on Zodiac yesterday.

Villains:
Lizard - First and for most they have to develop the character of Dr. Curt Connors a bit more. Not to say they haven't done so in the last few films but let's get to know a bit more about him first off for people who don't know too much about the character, like how did he lose his arm; served his country in WWII, etc. Marketing for the character should be minor but still let people know that he's in the film, make him a kind of secret villain/character(alike Cloverfield monster or Spider-Man 3's Venom before they decided to reveal him in the final trailer and the too much revealing TV spot). Give him a teaser poster simular to the teaser posters from Hellboy II: The Golden Army to hold fans off until the films release and in the teaser and trailer give him small cameos like during a scene you see his hand grasp Spider-Man's head or you see his figure in the shadows. Played by Dylan Baker.
Kraven the Hunter - Most fans of the franchise have speculated whether or not he would do good in Spider-Man 4 or any movie for that matter. Well I think the protesters need to shut the hell up for a second and look beyond their own beliefs and give this character a chance. The majority of comic-book fans think of Kraven as a mediocre villain, I used to think that up until I read Part 4(Resurrection) of a 6 Part Mini Series from the Web of Spider-Man series where Kraven literally buried Spider-Man underground. This logic really modeled Kraven as a villain who deserves a chance alike every other Spider-Man villain out there. This part would fit perfectly into Spider-Man 4 and would make for a great cliffhanger at which the next film(Spider-Man 5) will pick up among. Kraven the Hunter will appear as the main villain in the trailers but the film itself will focus more among the transformation of Dr. Connors into The Lizard, Kraven comes to Manhattan after news of "Giant Lizard Attacks(curiotisy of The Daily Bugle)". He comes to Manhattan in search of this "Giant Lizard" and after he realizes that Spider-Man has a connection with The Lizard's alter ego Dr. Connors he then faces-off against Spider-Man to take him out of the equation to be able to eliminate The Lizard's alter ego, Curt Connors. Marketing for the character will appear as if he were the main villain as The Lizard will be a somewhat secret villain, he will appear in all teasers, trailers and/or TV spots for the film. Played by Daniel Day-Lewis.

I think Dr. Connors has been developed a very good amount. We will most liley see a good half an hour of him in the film befire he actually becomes the Lizard. I also think it would be good if the Lizard was revealed in some of the trailers. Venom wasn't revealed until the last trailer because he is such a popular character that tons of fans (including myself) wanted.

As for Kraven, I really think he should be played by Gerard Butler. Also, I don't think Kravens Last Hunt should have anything to do with Spidey4 or 5 or 6. I mean, there could be some aspects of Kraven from that dtoryline, but overall, I don't want scenes from it incorporated into a Spidey film. Don't get me wrong though, it's a fantastic story.

I agree, man.
like you may know, I want Carnage for Spidey 4. so I would accept to have Kraven for SM5. and if played by Gerard Butler...man that would be so much better. and Kraven Last Hunt is more about Kraven than SM himself. wouldn't be good adapted into a movie.

Kraven The Hunter is a much better compliment to THE LIZARD as the main villain story-wise. They don't have to adapt the entire Kraven's Last Hunt storyline, just use a few key elements. Like Kraven's obsession with Spidey and being his better by killing him.

If you want Carnage so much, why not wait until SM5 for him. Even though they can't even say the words SERIAL KILLER in these films, with them catering to kids so damn much. These films are too juvenile for Carnage to be rippin' into MoFos for the fun of it. No one wants to be looking at fade away shots for 2+ hours, trying not to scare children. You'd need an R-rated Spider-Man done like ZODIAC, SILENCE OF THE LAMBS or SE7EN. Just a warning: If you didn't like what they did to Venom, you would absolutely hate what they'd do to Carnage. He's 20 times the killing machine. His only purpose in life is to kill. I wouldn't mind seeing this in an R-rated form, anything else, no.

Not to mention, they already have a full movie with the symbiote, like it or not. The last thing they want to do is, give us another symbiote movie when they're trying take the film in a new direction. Think about that.

no. they have a movie with Emo Peter dancing. Venom was in it for like 6 min. we blinked and he wasn't there anymore. I won't get through the whole R-rated thing again. just look to my posts if you want to see what I have to say.
and Carnage would be killing people in like one or two scenes. most of the time he would be fighting Spidey. it seems hard for most of you to get. Carnage doesn't need to be bad just because of Venom. they screwed Venom by changing him too much and giving little screen time. since there will be only two villains this time, Carnage would have a lot more screen time. as much as Lizard.
why not wait for SM5?
well, because the symbiote is already there. have the characteristics of Peter. it's half way done, already. we just need Kassidy. also, the connection between Carnage and Connors is already there, too. Connors has the symbiote. by his researches in the symbiote, he learns how to makes his cells spread (since the symbiote can spread in it's host), so he doesn't destroy it, he keep feeding it. his obsession would become the doom of many. I think this would explore the theme acceptance. but fear would be pretty good, too.
better story also. it's all just a way of seeing things. there's so many good ideas ideas.
I like Kraven, I really do. but I want them to finish the symbiote story for good before they start with others.
