Tatum > Butler, simply because he knows where his few strengths are.

But what Butler does in OHF is his strength right? As oppose to his rom-coms.

Personally, I've only enjoyed Butler in 300 and that's because of the overracting nature of Miller/Snyder's Leonidas. Other than that, I can honestly say I avoid every movie he's in.

Okay then his strength relative to what else he tries to do. I agree that 300 is his best role so sticking to action movies is far better than his rom-coms.

I've really enjoyed Gerard Butler's performances in Reign of Fire, Rock'n'Rolla and Law Abiding Citizen (that finale, though, was a real cop out, and Jamie Foxx was going through the motions in that film).

Butler's attempts at an American accent are shocking.

Butler has kind of become more of an Arnie/Sly guy in this day and age. He's pretty good natured and is in on the joke for lack of a better term. He's a cool guy, but he can't do everything.

I like some of Roland Emmerich's previous works(Universal Soldier, Independence Day, Stargate), but this looks like a straight up generic PG-13 action flick.

Nothing about the trailer made me think it's anything more than a rental.

And I'm not much of a Tatum fan.

I believe reports have said there is a good bit of comedy due to the buddy cop dynamic of Tatum and Foxx.

I like the trailers for this, and think it looks pretty interesting. The paring of Tatum, and Foxx should be fun to see.

Yeah the trailers give a Die Hard in The White House meets Lethal Weapon duo vibe to me, and the action looks great.

But, unlike them, he has no charisma.

When I grow up I want to make an entire living destroying National Landmarks the way Roland Emmerich has. It sounds like a fun career.

This film looks so good. It has exceeded my expectations.

Does not look terrible at all. Still might wait for the DVD though.

And damn theyre really hiding Jason Clarke in the marketing

Holy crap I did not know Jason Clarke was in this. I hated the crap out of this when they first announced and after the first trailer but with that last one and now this one. Yeah this is going to be one of the best movies of the summer easily. It looks like so much fun

I don't really know why they are doing that. He's awesome.

Perhaps it's the 'mystery of the villain' kinda thing their going for.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing this and good to see Jason Clarke in a clip at last!

Jake Hamilton interviews Tatum and Foxx for WHD.
