I keep hearing that Fox needs to make movies in the present. Why? A good movie will be good regardless of the time period it's set.
If they wanna keep the cast they have on contract then yeah they kinda do have to do it before their contracts expire, i dunno how many years they have on that though but i am gonna guess 2019 is the latest for the next movie

Actually, I don't think it is that generic and cliche. None of the other X-Men films have had a plot where the X-men have to work as a team against a big powerful villain. I mean, I GUESS you could sort of say the first X-Men film with Magneto was about that but this film was a breath if fresh air to me which is why I dont quite understand why people are saying "been there, done that." Plus, isn't that essentially what the MCU movies are building towards with Thanos?
If FF didn't damage Kinberg apocalypse won't.
We would probably be losing Fassbender/Magneto for a few films, who was a major draw for this trilogy. No other way around that. He carried the trilogy in large part.
No the money will likely go on the important stuff before anything else, aka the cast, so yeah he would be in and i am pretty sure it won't be made without him unless he doesn't wanna come back.
The cast was the least of the issues here. And the box office still wasn't there. And these are Singer hires, so it's not a lock that any of them will be back whether Singer produces or not, should he step down as director. Fox can go cheap on a director and sacrifice quality. Either way, they have to trim somewhere.
Every Bryan Singer X-Men film is the same
Professor X & Magneto have disagreement
Magneto causes some destruction Xavier forgives him
Some villain messes with Cerebro or uses it against humans
Xavier is kidnapped or incapacitated
I suppose the question is do you throw out talent for effects or throw out effects for talent... or find a way to make both work

James Cameron is the only reason Bryan Singer didn't mess up the ending of DOFP. Have you guys saw the interview? Is a bit old, like end of 2014.
Bryan would have a terrible ending but James saved us all when Singer asked him his opinion about it.
He's incapacitated.Xavier not kidnapped in DOFP.
You throw out delusional fanboys that want X-Men films every year. Or 200 million dollar reboots with another brand new cast... this time in the MCU. Not you per say. Just saying...![]()
People want X-Men films every year that are different, the main series won't offer anything fresh. Bring a new IP like Deadpool and things started to change in terms of success for the franchise.
Different X-Men IP's that are well made will be the key to living a longer life. You can look at Deadpool for proof of that which is only months away from Apocalypse. Having an X-Men related film every year ain't an issue.
From 2nd place to 6th place next week...
I feel sad... its the movie i enjoyed most this year..i love x-men movies and carachters, hope they dont give up...
i love this hype of being here everyday when a movie stars filming until it is released..
The first set pics, the first photo and teaser and poster..the anxiety..lol
What other film besides Deadpool is going to have that success? Based on the tone in Deadpool, I would think a New Mutants (present day) would be a light PG-13 MCU rehash. There isn't a character out there that can duplicate Deadpool by himself/herself.
