Casting to look like the OT cast is unnecessary. Everything is essentially being retconned. Just find actors that not only hold their own but own these very characters. You want looks similar to the comic characters, but we don't need CGI or makeup to make them drastically close to their predecessor thespians.

She looks too old. I have no idea what her age is but I looked at pics of her and Id say she is easily at least 30 and if not, then she still would be miscast bc the casting should be with someone that can reasonably pull off a teen look, which she cant

good point, tho. Storm will more than likely be used mainly for her powers, to make the team bigger, and with some lines here and there, but yeah, I doubt he has a strong role. Cyclops and Jean have more chances to get a decent arc, imo, taking into account they have been gone from the franchise for a very very long time, so Singer may want to give them some spotlight this time around.

Storm has been gone from the franchise just as long as Jean and Scott. In fact she's been gone longer than Jean has. Storm and Scott were shortchanged in the character development department and therefore should get the focus in this film.

Her mother is African and father is American, Storm doesn't look like African. Also she was born in NY.

In movie version she could be 5 in 1972 in Cairo during Arab-Israeli conflict, and Farouk could take care of her.

Storm in the comics is black, and on the tv shows too, so thats exactly what I want. Whatever her father is. I want someone than makes me believe she is seen as a goddess in Africa, I dont want Storm Berry pt. 2. No offense to Halle, its just that I want a closer to comics Storm.

The Events of Apocalypse still take place before the ending of DOFP where Wolverine wakes up.

It's not about finding lookalikes or trying to tie Into OT.All we know now about Storm,Cyclops,and Jean are what we saw at end of DOFP.

Xavier Is american In Comics yet they didn't cast american as Xavier they cast another UK based actor as younger Xavier.In DOFP Bryan Singer had Michael fassbender attempt to sound more like Ian Mckellen.

Many complain about contunity In past.Well the Contuity of just FC and DOFP includes the ending of DOFP.

Chloe Moretz would be all wrong for Jean.Her voice Is too American to fit as young version of Jean that Famke Janssen played at end of DOFP

For Storm you need a light skinned Black woman because you have to believe In 40 years after Apocalypse she becomes the storm that Halle Berry played at end of DOFP.

If i was a betting man I would place money they won't be getting names as Cyclops,Jean,and Storm.They will be unknown especilly since apparently they are testing 18 year old actors for 16 year old versions of them.

Maybe an out there casting choice but what would anyone think of Jim Carter as Apocalypse? He has a really intimidating but poetic voice.

Problems with Hally Berry were her acting and personnality, not the skin color .
In the comics/ Cartoons, Storm and Berry are similar skin color .
I don't see problem to cast bi-racial girl for Storm .
Just do a good story with her .

They still have to consider hiring someone that resembles the face of the OT actors that played Jean, Storm and Cyclops most especially we know that in the future period, Cyclops/Jean/Storm will end up looking like James Marsden/Famke Jannsen/Halle Berry. The events of the original trilogy/X4 might be erased in the new timeline but in the new timeline, they were still portrayed by the actors who were in the original trilogy.

Not necessarily. McAvoy looks nothing like Patrick Stewart, and even Fassbender looks like a stretch compared to a young McKellen. Hoult and Grammar also don't look alike either. I'll take the best actors they can find, because the resemblance stuff goes out the window once we see them in action most of the time I feel like.

True, but at the same time, in the cases of James/Michael...they have the luxury where there's a somewhat of a huge gap between the ages of their characters against the versions that Patrick and Ian play respectively.

And in Nicholas' and Grammer's case, we never really saw the human face of the older beast.

Agreed. If anything they should worry about the actors resemblance to the comic counterparts.

Not really, if they try to find the best actors that resemble the facial features of Halle/James/Famke and yet at the same time, can deliver a good performance. I suggested before Logan Lerman as Cyclops and Emma Watson as Jean Grey - popular young talented actors who appeared in blockbuster or well-received films and at the same time, could easily pass as the younger version of Cyclops/Jean.

Also this isn't the exactly same thing with James/Michael to Ian/Patrick, there's a huge gap between First Class and X1 and even with that, websites were nitpicking how about James McAvoy doesn't look like a younger version of Patrick Stewart but of course it gets a pass from most people because the film was good and James McAvoy delivered a good performance. But still just because it didn't bother a lot of people, it doesn't mean they should just keep casting people to a younger version of someone that doesn't even resemble the facial feature of the older version. With Apocalypse and X1, its 20 years (as Kinberg said) and Halle/Famke/James looked young in X1. Its not really believable if you cast a 25 years actor (who looks like a 25 years old guy) to play Cyclops and say, thats Cyclops in 1983 and we flashforward to X1 (yeah I know that film probably doesn't count in the new timeline, but still) and Cyclops still looks like he is in his late 20s.

aslong as the OT cast ain't in it then you can get away with not pushing the resemblance factor

although they probably will go for someone more in halle berrys skin colour rather then anyone darker, even if they don't look like a young berry

It's a nice bonus and doesn't hurt if they look similar as long as there is a large enough population of similar looking actors who want the role and are suitable for it. Not sure if Emma Watson would want the role but yeah she'd be amazing as young Jean.

And couldn't you say the same for Cyclops, he was the leader in X1.

Besides I am talking about development which neither character have received. They both deserve the limelight.
