The Dark Knight Rises You Have My Permission To Lounge - Part 6

Leto's physical acting in Suicide Squad is terrible. I remember some smuck saying that it was very reminiscent of TAS Joker. That's true. Except TAS Joker is a 2D cartoon character, not a 3D live action one. Mimicking a cartoon's mannerisms in the real world makes the performance not credible.

I don't have a problem with acting over the top as the Joker. Both Jack and Heath did. But they were over the top while still being convincing characters in live action.

The scene with him stopping the car to talk to Harley in the extended edition is so bad IMO. I see why they cut that.

Stay hesitant. It's 3 hours of your life you'll never get back for a cut of a movie that doesn't make any significant improvements.
Better editing, flow from scene to scene and a little more Clark time. That's it. All the other flaws are still there. And it moves slower, which doesn't do it any favors when the characters make you cringe and the dialogue is so bad.

Decided to read the "fake" Batman Superman script from a few years back again. There's so much in here that resembles what was in the actual movie. Feels like more than a coincidence.

I really would've loved that movie based on what I read. The Batman arc is amazing. Lex is great. The script has heart. It gets a little cluttered with all the word building stuff but I much prefer it over what we actually got. Consider giving it a read if you have nothing else to do

Merry Christmas, everyone. I hope you all have a happy, safe Christmas.

Yes. The Ultimate Cut is a poor movie. It's just a more coherently poor movie.

I can't wait to see how bad Justice League looks. That teaser from CC was embarrassing.

"That's my second favorite chair!, He said no? He said no! I'm real when it's useful! I hear you can talk to fish!"

Going to see La La Land tomorrow by myself.

Doesn't get more depressing than that, folks.

Ill check out that fan-fiction or leaked script. Whatever it is. Not sure if i've read it before.

Haha exactly.

The dialogue is soo bad. And i found nothing funny. Also, Cyborg and Aquaman seem way too serious, like they're trying too hard to be tough. It's a lot like Leto trying to act crazy (which always reminds me of Dean Ambrose who does the same and it's embarrassing. For all you wrestling fans out there).

I thought Bruce's jab at Arthur was great. The Flash humor didn't really work.

Man, Jonathan Nolan should really do a "Selina Kyle" mini-series over at HBO or somewhere. Set it a few years prior to TDKR. Bring Gary Oldman back for a small role, sprinkled throughout, nothing major. You dont have to deal with Bale because Bruce Wayne at this point is a recluse. A small Wayne Enterprises reference would do just fine. Hell, even a Joker reference. Bring back Juno Temple as Holly Robinson/Jen..

Make it Rated R. I'd have a blast with this and i think it could completely win over anyone who felt like Hathaway wasn't given the best material to work with. A little more "sex", keep that grit, and do 1 or 2 seasons max, depending on the amount of episodes.

Why not tie in Falcone's children into this? Maybe Selina really is a Falcone after all? I don't know, there's a lot you can do with original characters as well.

Jonah was very passionate about bringing Selina into TDK Trilogy. Do it in the next 5 years or so, depending on Westworld's schedule. It probably won't happen just because it sounds too good to be true to me, but the level of excitement in this place would be insane. It's a great way to continue the franchise without stepping on Chris' 3 Batman/Wayne movies. It still leaves the future of Blakeman up to the imagination, as it should be, since the theme is LEGACY. A torch passed on from generation to generation. If we see a glimpse into that future, then it's a pointless exercise. What's stopping them from going on and on with more original characters and Batmen? Best to stop it at Rises with that ending. You can't make it better, especially without Heath's presence.

You don't want to go too far back, trying to make Gordon younger, dealing with popular rogues and possibly an appearance by Bale or Alfred. It's too much money and work trying to make all the pieces fit. A story closer to the events of TDK might be too much of a hassle. "Selina Kyle" (that should be the title, not CATWOMAN) would be simple, scaled down, and finally...the man himself CHRIS Nolan was open to a spin-off with Anne.

Would you guys be up for this? Whether you liked Hathaway's version of the character or not, i'm interested in everyone's opinion here. Oh and, Merry Christmas to everyone!
