I dont like the character at all. But if it's successful, good for them. But there is a part of me that is laughing with Joker levels of evil, everytime the DCEU fails. I'm not going to lie.

I do not want Wonder Woman to fail though. Or another Superman movie (if a better director takes over with the same cast). I believe the Trinity deserve some quality films to represent them properly. Wonder Woman's first movie should be big. It's only fair. Look at the first Superman, Batman, Spider-Man.

The rest of the Justice League? If their movies fail, I will not lose sleep. Not even a minute.

DC cultboys are going crazy about "the Oscar win" on social media. I have this sneaking feeling they don't even know what it won it for.

The echo chamber of social media at work. SS won "the oscar".

Are they doing the ''we won'' thing? Like they had some involvement.

I'm gonna say that about 2% of the overall DCEU fans who are gloating about the Oscar win are being completely serious.

Even the DCEU fans here were laughing with me about how fun it was gonna be to torture people with the "Academy Award Winning Suicide Squad" thing. And I agree, its pretty hilarious. From here on out, I will only refer to it as The Academy Award Winning Motion Picture: Suicide Squad.

Srs? This is like using a stuffed toy as a torture weapon.

Hair and makeup guys.

that is literally the only reason its funny

It could be an oscar for best background extra and it would still be an Oscar. Its all about the ridiculousness of the situation. If you can understand it in that way, its funny.

at least it shut up all the dumb tinfoil hat theorists who were under the impression that there was some sort of global anti-DCEU conspiracy.

These movies might actually be handsomely rewarded if they were in the hands of able and willing hands. Looking at you, Matt Reeves.

Quantum isn't bad, it's just very average. Enjoyed Spectre in the theater but revisited it and it's also average. There's plenty of crappy Bond movies and I don't think Craig has been a part of any of them. Skyfall and Casino Royale range from very good to excellent.

I'm still waiting on Nolan and Hardy to reboot Bond if Craig passes on the role. Hardy keeps being asked about it. Recently, again, he suggests Nolan for the job.

I only saw Spectre once, but I enjoyed it. I didn't have as many issues with it as others did. Perhaps if I re-watch it, I will notice them more.

I actually like Quantum of Solace quite a bit. It's the the mind-numbing shaky-cam and editing that makes the movie feel lifeless at times and even difficult to watch/enjoy.

I mean, James Bond got a lobotomy, forgot everything, then he remembered everything again when the woman he met yesterday, whom he banged once, told him she loved him. It's so laughable. And to top it all off, they didn't have any chemistry whatsoever.

Not to mention actually redoing the Austin Powers evil brother plot. People like to point out they are not blood brothers. So? That doesn't change the function of their relationship. Blo was still triggered that daddy loved Bond more than him.

The whole nine eyes subplot was boring. And they completely wasted Monica Bellucci.

And did I mention the chase scene? Probably the most limp chase scene in recent times. It was so boring.

The only highlights: Batista vs Bond and the opening single take.

Didn't seem like he forgot anything after that lobotomy. Maybe his brother missed the mark.
Speaking of that guy, there is no reason for him or any of his crew to survive that explosion from what I remember.

Agreed. Such a dull, badly written movie.

He did forget. The woman's magic words made him well again.

You know what I wanna see make a return in a Batman movie? Opening credits.

Maybe something in the vein of this:

Make it happen Mr. Reeves.
