It'll move from Alien Resurrection to Bride of Chucky.
I like the latter movie.

Him and Scarecrow. I guess they couldn't figure out a way to make him look villainous but not freak out the little kids watching. Even Joker was cute and cuddly and he was about the scariest one on there.

I thought Riddler was the scariest villain on that show, to be honest.

False Face was the creepiest, IMO. That plastic mask he wore was like something a deranged serial killer would wear.

I want Giacchino to do The Batman. Elfman is a good composer, of course, but he's already made his mark with the character.

Isn't that the composer for the newest Spider-Man movie? I'd be fine to hear the work of the same composer on both characters in the span of two-three years.

I think there's a better chance Giacchino will score The Batman, based on his working relationship with Reeves. That's how these decisions get made usually, just like how Elfman is being brought on to work on Justice League based on a working relationship they formed on Age of Ultron. It's still possible Elfman can end up on The Batman though if he makes a big impression with the JL score, so it'll be interesting to see how things play out.

For JL though, I think Elfman at least including one nod to his original Batman theme has to be in his contract somewhere. :yay:

It probably wont happen which is a shame, but I really want Christopher Drake to score.

Also kinda wanted to see Jared Emerson-Johnson tackle it.

The Telltale score is quite underrated IMO. It's like the perfect blend of Zimmer, Walker, Elfman, everything. I think I even prefer it to the Arkham theme now (which is still very good though)

That said, I never hold my breath for the animated/VG composers to get the movie gigs.

Yeah, film composers seem to be in an exclusive caste above guys in games and animation. Which is a shame because there are a lot of great composers in those fields like Jeremy Soule or Austin Wintory who I'd love to see get a blockbuster gig.

MOTP finally coming to Blu-Ray. About damn time!

Now, if only we could get that remaster of TDK for the tenth anniversary next year. Won't hold my breath...

very excited for that

such a great take on Bruce's origin in the timmverse. now if they could bring the entire series to blu ray......

Are these confirmed spoilers, or just hearsay from reddit users who claim to have seen it?

I have a hard time believing Homecoming will be anything but gaahhbage but it could just be terrible marketing.

Those reddit spoilers are weird and entertaining, and I gotta say that [blackout]Liz being the daughter of Vulture is more passable than being the daughter of The Blob[/blackout]

Yea hopefully those spoilers turn out not to be true

I mean to think Marvel would
make Michelle MJ instead of being an original character as they originally claimed would be beyond stupid. Mary Jane is the most important supporting character in the Spider-Man Universe.

Next Venom will be a character that goes by the name Thomas Hardy.

So after reading Homecoming spoilers, I do think it's getting clear Marvel has a "play it safe" problem.

Granted "play it safe" is more of an expression. I don't think fans mean they literally play it safe - see Iron Man 3. What I think that really mean is they shy away from heavier ideas. Ideas that give you chills and make you uncomfortable a little - see Red Skull's Fascism, Malekith's lack of sadism, and Ultron.

Anyways, there's two examples of "play it safe" I see with Homecoming. They're not major spoilers but I'll tag them nonetheless.

First, producer Eric Carroll claimed they didn't film flashbacks with Uncle Ben. In theory that's fine,
but the reason he gave is that dealing with Ben's death would distract from the "fun" of the film. Now it sounds like they don't even bring up Ben's death. The closest reference is Peter telling May "times have been tough for [her] recently."

The second is Flash. Supposedly he's not a bully in this and more of a rival. Also the scenes he trashtalks Peter in come across as more "funny" than angsty. I don't mind changes from the source material, but I don't understand this. Flash's early treatment towards Peter is supposed to make you a bit uncomfortable IMO. It sounds like Marvel's shying away from showing genuine harassment in a contemporary high school setting. It's a hot button issue after all.

These are just two examples I'm noticing of them shying away from uncomfortable ideas. It suggests it may be an ongoing problem after all.
