The Dawn of the Justice League special on the CW starts in a few minutes. I'm looking forward to checking it out...should be getting a new Suicide Squad trailer.

It looks like Joker loses the tattoos and his skin.

I thought everything looked great. WW really surprised me. And those new scenes from BvS looked awesome.

I think DC is going to be fine. I really do.

I thought the same thing about the Alex Ross painting. Leto definitely looks like he nailed the performance, though I agree the design still bugs me in certain shots...just wish it wasn't so blinged out. But I will say it does look like it fits the world Ayer is creating, so I can accept it for what it is. I like that he seems to sport a lot of different looks throughout the movie.

Random theory- since Joker's wearing a tux, I'm wondering if he and Harley were going to get married and something goes wrong or she leaves him? That shot where he's lying on the ground laugh-crying in the middle of all those knives and guns...I could see it being some type of f***ed up altar he made for them.

One thing I will say is as great as the trailer is, it's a bit of a cheat to cut it music video style to an iconic song like Bohemian Rhapsody...as in, pretty much any movie would look amazing if you did that. However, it seems like they were taking a page out of GoTG's book there which is very smart indeed.

Overall, I agree the WW footage looked great and as much of a stick in the mud I've been about BvS at times, I definitely think DC hit a home run with the special and really made a loud and clear statement. If I were Marvel...I'm not saying I'd be "scared", but DC definitely isn't messing around here. The true alternative brand has arrived.

Nope, from the WW solo movie. I'm sure the full special will be on Youtube soon enough if it hasn't been posted already. I was lucky enough to catch it live and DVR it. If WB/DC is smart they'd post it officially, but I'm sure someone will post it soon regardless. I'll keep an eye out.

Overall, it was an incredible special for the DCEU. Really well presented across the board.

There's actually quite a bit of WW footage. I didn't think they were going to show that much.

Thanks SQ

That does look really good. I hope Gal Gadot surprises a lot of people because I know there was a lot of negativity when she was cast. She looks terrific in the role. I love the gritty feel the footage had.

Shots like this are spoiled by that lame damaged tattoo, and all those gold chains around his neck. I loathe that stupid pimp look with all the bling.

More than anything, I like that all three of these DC films look completely different from one another, although there is a synergy between them. It's clear that these films are not each following the same cookie-cutter formula.

The thing that pisses me off the most about The Joker, is how goddamn close he looks to being perfect. You take away the tats and grill, and he would look AMAZING, and still come off just as creepy. And that's what makes me so mad, it was so close.

WHY?!

I don't care for the pimp look either. That purple jacket we see him in looks pretty fly. I'd go for more the dandy appearance than the pimp if I were in charge of production. Deadshot and Croc look great. Overall this just looks like a really fun movie.

Yeah, the movie looks like a lot of fun. I think it'll be a hit.

The pimp look reminds me of Joker from All Star Batman & Robin, which also sucked.

I don't know why, but in that shot he really reminds me of Matt Bellamy of Muse. Wrong rock star, I know. Much better band though. :oldrazz:

I agree, and I do appreciate that.

I disagree and I've often remarked that Gadot as Diana will be a similar situation to how Keaton was as Batman. There's more than one way for a movie to be successful, and Batman '89 was able to pull it off despite Keaton's lack of physical presence. Wondy will need the same things that helped hide Keaton's shortcomings: innovative sets, solid acting from everyone, beautiful costumes, and a strong villain.

I liked the Suicide Squad trailer but I didn't like the use of Bohemian Rapsody, it really took me out of it.

I wasn't impressed by the Wonder Woman footage in all honesty, I was impressed by the amount but not the content. I get they haven't filmed much but given I'm not the biggest WW fan they have a lot of work to convince me.

Everything else was great, the Superman stuff in the BvS segment was brilliant.

It was clearly inspired by GotG's use of old rock, but I feel that this song better relates to its movie than did GotG's song. I forgot what it was they used in Guardians...but I remember it felt more like window dressing than anything of substance. Something like "Don't Fear the Reaper", from BOC, would've worked better for Guardians. It touches on Peter's being there when his mother died, and kind of ties back into...Thanos. Being that Thanos is Death and all.

After feeling really down toward the whole of BvS after that last trailer and the "the Bat is dead" clip (which is a side I'm rarely on for CBM's, and especially not Superman or Batman) I glad to say I really enjoyed everything I saw from that special... Outside of Flash's concept art at least.

To be fair though, Hooked on a Feeling did tie into the movie since it's on the Awesome Mix Tape and it also connects to Peter's mom that way. Music in general was a big part of that movie, so putting the song in the trailer went a long way in selling the tone of the movie.
