Anyone else think zooming in on his ear to indicate superhearing is lame?

At least their not doing the Jimmy Neutron brain blast zoom anymore. I think it makes sense otherwise it may not be obvious he's using superhearing. It's very important that we know when he's using superpowers.

She hasn't gotten really drunk while wearing her pajamas and knocked out a jock with a spin kick to the stomach yet. Then they'll kick her out.:)

Yeah, and like that wouldnt happen every other week to kids on a College Campus. ;)

I wish I knew what Lana was up to. She's gotta be playing Lex.

I thought they let Lana slide because she agreed to head up Met U's drug awareness program. I mean, she kicked that Kryptonite-Crack habit in what, like 3 minutes?

I'd like to think she's smarter that what some people think.... There is something very bad boy cool about him, but I'd still like to think she's just trying to figure out what exactly Lex knows.

I'm just thinking about that scene with Chloe, she was genuine in that conversation. With Lex, who knows? Could Lionel be feeding information to Lana as well?

Did you get a feeling that she knows something more? That is a thought to ponder.

I dont know, but something is not right. Why would you suck face with someone and then run away, if you wanted to be with them.

She has that conversation with Chloe about not being anyone's prey and that there could not possibly be anything going on between her and Lex.

It just leaves me wondering. I have a feeling that she's gonna do something untoward to both Clark and Lex.

Might be a little off Topic but I noticed when Clark says to People he meets for the first time in an Episode (Cyborg for examble) that he knows & is (somewhat) Friends with Lex Luthor People seem very surprised :o But then again a Farm Boy knowing a Rich Guy is not an every day thing

I think people are surprised because he has a reputation of being a slime ball. Slime ball=no friends.

When you consider that he's made some mistakes of late by jumping in too quickly, he could just be sorting things out in his head first. Assessing the situation, determining the danger. He doesnt want to go blurt it all out to his mother, when she's under pressure from her new career, and have things go horribly wrong. He's probably not even 100% sure that what he saw was real, its just a gut feeling that he has.

Clark said he knows what he saw was real, and it was further confirmed by Chloe when she revealed Lionel as her source. So while assessing the situation, he's just gonna watch while his mother is wine and dined by the devil? Doesn't make any sense.

I missed this ep and am going to try and somehow see it later, but I do have one spoiler question: Did Clark get to talking to Martha about his little chat with Jonathon in the previous episode?

I don't normlly post in this area of the boards but I am a long time Smallville fan.

I have to say in comparison to a lot of the recent episodes this has been one of the better ones. There weren't any major contridictions in the episode as far as I can think of.

The problems in the episode have to deal with a lot of the major problems with smallville in general. First and foremost too many darn people getting thier powers from meteor rocks. Can't we have a villian that just has supernatural powers from nature some how?

But again over all it was muche much better than most of the episodes this season.

Welcome, dave. :)

I don't really mind the krypto-freaks as much as some people. But I do agree with your point about how it's nice to see natural villains once in a while. And I think we do, but they do rely on the meteor shower as a big source of everything strange in SV.

One of my favorite scenes from Run was when Bart and Clark talked about how Bart got his abilities naturally.

Sorry to chime in a little late (i know i know, you guys can stop crying now) but here are my thoughts on this eppy:

It was actually better than the last two episodes (not saying much but it is). Great performances all around (except for the woman who was taking care of the little girl at the beginning, if a bunch of glass was breaking all around me i dont think I'd slowly walk to a mirror/television while it was vibrating and scream "noooooooo!!!"). Tom did a great job in this episode, its like he thought to himself "Alright, I'm directing so I better make this look good." Hehe. But I just enjoyed the performances all around, the story was okay and better than the last two (of course).

I liked the story of this episode better too Mike, so I agree with you, however I think the two episodes prior were key episodes in regards to setting things in motion for the finale.

Is Clark ever gonna get sued for property damage? I mean, did anyone see what he did to the Talon?

They did address that in a few episodes, actually - Heat and Precipice come to mind. Funny thing is, Precipice was probably considered a "filler" episode at the time. It's amazing how certain themes in various episodes will come back later to help fill in the blanks.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesnt Martha own the Talon ? & wouldnt Martha have to press charges against Clark (which she never would) in order to get Clark to pay for that mess ? Besides I am sure Loinel would offer to fix it up & also how many times now these last 5 Years has Clark messed up the Talon during some fights ? He could make it a habbit you know

Lex owns it, but Martha was managing it until she took over the senate seat.

Ah yeah okay thanks for correcting Lex owns it. Well Lex is not at that place yet to want to keep charging Clark everytime he messes a property of his up.
