Actually, I could see them going that direction. I'd be ok with it, because ultimately, Brainiac would come out on top using his superior intellect. :D

Hopefully, as long as Brainiac isnt simply a puppet.

It's a bird, it's a plane.. it's a.. little uncoordinated looking. :D

How are the ppl in the vicinity not seeing that?
I bet this scene is in slow mo and Clark is moving too fast for the eye to see.

In that trailer clip, Lionel says to Clark, "To reveal your secret would change your destiny.." Anyone else think it's a little chilling and suspicious for Lionel to be talking about "destiny" with Clark? Hmm..

Very chilling, and if it is Jor-el wouldnt he just reveal himself. Looking forward to more of that.

And that scene where Lois and Lana walk into that room and <seem to> surprise Clark. Lois has a very amused look on her face. I'm dying to know why.

I hope that part is in this episode, this may lead to why Lana's not talking to Clark.

I get the feeling that maybe Lois sets it up to get them back together.

I think that scene where Lois and Lana interrupt Clark comes after the scene that you posted a link to on TV.com....

It looks like Clark is in Lana's dorm room and maybe he'd found those "government" documents that Lex entrusted to Lana...

It's mighty suspicious what Lex might be giving to her to keep... I betcha it ain't good and it'll make Clark very unhappy, whatever it is. (I bet the documents came from Fine.)

It'll be great.

Lana will get mad at Clark; Clark will get mad at Lana and Lex both; and Milton Fine will just sit back and watch the pretty fireworks as Clark's life starts to disintegrate around him and he becomes paranoid for real....

I can't wait!

:D

Fine is weving a very tangled web and Clark is caught in the middle and he doesn't even know it yet!

:D

I can't wait to see what Fine's really up to...

I know its so devious. I'm still wondering if he is even in this episode.

I've also been wondering, after seeing that clip, if perhaps Lana is going to be playing both Lex and Clark. She knows that something is amiss between the two of them, and she had such a determined look of I'm gonna get to the bottom of all this in Void last week.

Its really got me wondering obviously, 'cause that's the third time I've used that word in this post.

Nah they havent done anything to prove Lana is that clever otherwise. Be great if she did though

Ya Lana isnt being that duplicitous. Shes clearly developed feelings for Lex. Theres no way in hell shes smarter than him and Lex is totally playing her and manipulating her.

But again like I said in the another thread..........it would be ill if Lana-Fu played him

*shows intense anime face*

Just look at the twitch in her face when Lex asks her if she trusts him.

I dont think she has enough reason to go against Lex at this point. Hes pretty much saved her a$$ more than once and she tried to save his in Lockdown. Her feelings are likely geniune.

She wants the truth and I thought that at the end of Void she'd made a personal deal with herself that she'll do whatever it takes to get it. She knows Lex has feelings for her and I think she's going to use that to her advantage.

Think back to Void when Lex was having the punch up with Lance, Lana just grabbed the serum and ran. Left Lex to his own devices. When Clark was getting done by Lance, Lana hung around to make sure Clark was alright.

I'm sorry, but girls feelings dont change that quickly in the space of a couple weeks.

I gotta go with you on this one. I think there way more to this relationship than just a rebound fling.

She was messed up on the drugs....she wasnt herself at all though.

She wasnt messed up enough to know that she needed to get rid of Lance and to make sure Clark was okay.

Must be a girl thing. :)

She was messed up enough to miss Clark use his superstrength to throw Lance across the room......unless she dismissed his strength as the result of hypnotism..

She had her back turned, so she didnt see what took place. She does know that Clark's a pretty strong guy, but lately she hasnt been questioning any of his unusual abilitites.

Thats pretty weak. Even if I had my back turned, I would have realized Lance suddenly now halfway across the room on the floor with whatever he was thrown into now broken.

I saw that! I wonder how intentional that was??? Maybe Tom told her to do that, or maybe it was just a natural reaction.
