I think that right now Lana honestly considers Lex a friend and a partner who trusts her and makes her feel wanted. I hope that she wises up about him at some point and starts playing him to try and protect Clark, but I don't think she's at that point yet. I still think she is sincerely trying to trust him because she wants to get to the bottom of the alien ship mystery.

The "twitch" makes me suspicious that she has at least some inner reluctance to trusting him completely, even though she'd like to.

Actually the part I bolded that you said actually makes sense. I dont think Lana would sleep with Lex just to learn Clark's secrets... She obviously likes Lex (or was manipulated by him)...either way you look at it.

I'm not sure what to think, but I agree she doesnt fully trust him, or maybe she's hesitant to trust anyone after what she's been through.

We've heard Chloe say in the trailer that Lex is a predator, maybe she wisens Lana up on a few things. Cause that kiss at the end is so unnatural. It doesnt seem to be precipitated by a tender moment between the two of them.

And I still cant get past what I've read on the script for Fade, about Lana covering the lie thats eating away at her.

I dont think anyone is specifically saying that at this point in time, but maybe in two or three episodes she might.

Why does everything Lana does have to do with Clark? Lana still hasn't figured out the alien and spaceship problem. She doesn't know Clark is that much a part of it. For now Lana might just be after what she has wanted to know all season. Of course that will eventually lead her to Clark...

Wow, all of you will do anything to try and rationalize Lana getting with Lex. Isn't it possible that Lana has just had secret feelings for him all this time, and even she didnt admit it to herself...until now? I mean there's been more than one occasion when Lana has had her inhibitions released somehow and she's flirted with Lex. In my opinion the two of them being into each other makes perfect sense. Lana wants to feel safe and be with someone who has been there for her through thick and thin (sorta like the whole "friend-turned-love interest who has been right under your nose" idea), and Lex is drawn to her b/c she's the only person who doesnt treat him like an untrustworthy criminal (even if that's what he is, he doesn't think so)...plus he's into brunettes. And they have one big thing in common: both of their lives have been impacted a lot by the meteor shower.

Its not that much of a stretch if it happened six months down the road. But last week we have her finding her parents in the after life and the first thing she says to them is that I loved him so much.

Then at the end of the episode she makes this personal pact with herself that she's not going to let herself be in a position of vulnerability again.

It just doesnt gel with me that she falls into Lex's arms so quickly.

I think its pretty much on the same time line, maybe a few weeks pass but not months.

That's the point of what I'm saying though. I dont believe she's going to let herself be in that position again, especially so quickly.

Well my LJ isn't used for personal stuff if you really check it out. It's purely a sharing kinda thing. Pictures, videos, caps etc. People can repost whatever they want wherever they want as long as they link back to it. I don't think that's too much to ask. Websites expect the same to be done after all. And hey I'm always up for suggestions. So if anyone is in need of anything I'll do what I can to provide the info, video or pic.
