If by
"PC and forced" you mean, "more representative of the actual population of the world" then yeah, ITA.
Bring on the female heroes, please.
Political correctness has got to be the most overused (and misused) term in the public discourse right now. Whatever meaning it once had is now lost, instead being used to insinuate that any change to the status quo, however necessary, overdue, or even innocuous, is somehow contrived.
"Hey, we've got dozens of superhero films starring men in the lead roles, how about we start looking to adapt
some female superheros?"
One of the many typical responses goes as follows:
"OMFG enough with this
PC bullcrap, why are
feminazis trying to shove their
agenda down our throats!?"
What's going on right now with Star Wars is seriously disturbing, too. Heaven forbid there be a whole
two space epics featuring women in lead roles. Cinema, as we know it, is all but over.

The backlash that Boyega got was just as absurd, but that seems to have subsided while these sexist undertones have endured, for whatever reason. Why is the assumption always sinister intent when someone other than a white male is eyed for a lead role? It's either "PC", forced, pushing an agenda, or my personal favorite "they're picking gender/race/whatever over the most qualified person for the job"
As if the individual in question couldn't possibly be the most talented
in addition to being female, a minority, or whatever the case. Of course, this also assumes that Hollywood always casts roles according to talent in the first place.
