Just to compare...

WB released the second theatrical Green Lantern trailer on April 4th, and it was a June 17 release. No action movies where released that week before or after so WB just released it without attaching it to anything.

Could the same happen with MOS?

IIRC, the second theatrical trailer for GL was released with Thor. Everyone was expecting a release along with "Sucker Punch" but that didn't happen because the effects work was not complete (I think they were given an additional 9 million or so for completing the effects).

I am expecting to see something around MoS at Wondercon (may not be a trailer or clips, at least posters), a bit more at the MTV movie awards (WB has shown stuff from TDKR and GL at the awards before), Cinemacon (which is where the TDKR trailer footage debuted last year) and before "42".

What I'm saying is that for WB to promote MOS, they cannot use the past films and nostalgia, as this is designed to be a reboot.

It has also got to be recognisable as a Superman film.

In that case, what are the films biggest selling points?

Zack Snyder, Christopher Nolan, the suit and the symbol.


Which is what the marketing has been so far.


What is the new hi-res picture of? Superman in handcuffs, with a clear image of both suit AND symbol.
