I thought it was Routh at first.![]()
I did too until I realized he had lines.

It's gloriously comic booky, as Morrison has a brilliant eye for. It will make you love the wonder of comic books more.
I was kind of iffy on the middle sections of that series (I think I had hyped the whole thing up too much in my head based on all the praise it's gotten), but the last couple of volumes were beautiful. And the end of the animated movie, though a bit different from the comics, literally gave me chills (that flick had great music, which helped). So I finished Vol 1 of All Star Superman and it's pretty much one of the most brilliant things I ever read. I can't wait to pick up Vol. 2.
That's funny, my mom thought he looked like Christopher Reeve. Dude certainly has a Superman look, but I watched the pilot and man, is he boring. Not noticeably terrible, just not noticeable at all. Which is a hard feat to accomplish when you're the lead.I thought it was Routh at first.![]()
I half watched while I was talking to my sister and mom and I didn't notice him doing anything special or particularly interesting acting wise so I'm inclined to agree with you. That's funny, my mom thought he looked like Christopher Reeve. Your avvy suits this well.JAK®;21788029 said:Cavill is actually only 6'0.5", which isn't as far away from puny little 5'11 as you might think.
Exactly. Most actors aren't tall anyhow, most of their heights are exaggerated. Tom Cruise is five foot nothing and manages to be the same height or taller than his taller female co-stars.JAK®;21788065 said:Height means nothing on screen ever since they introduced this revolutionary technology called boxes.

Movies are about magic and I think a lot of people on Hype forget that because the magic is being ruined with the overload of media we have today.

Doesn't matter how tall he is in reality, there are so many ways to make him look even taller on film.
So true...as a test...watch "Shane"...then estimate the height of the leading man, Alan Ladd.
That being said the actor chosen to play Superman should be at least 6' tall.
On the topic of an actor's height..........anyone familiar with Lee Child's, Jack Reacher books. My wife loves them, and the character. He's described as 6'5" tall, and Tom Cruise will portray him on film. Now that's a stretch.
