I can see doomsday, maybe not the death of arch, but definitely a form of dooms. IDK i think its kind of hard to pick a villain for the sequel, when we all really don't know what kind of world MOS is going to be. Obviously its with people with super powers, but I think once we all see it, I think it'll be easier for us to imagine how things would work, and come up with some great ideas.

Doomsday could fit in extremely well if you show that humanity has progressed in the time that Superman has guided them. So much so that his death will not be in vain, and that the people of Metropolis continue to be guided in light.

Yeah...I'm getting this just from Jor-El's speech to Kal-El...about how people will join him in the Sun, that they will stumble and fall but nevertheless Kal-El will lead them to greater things.

if we are lucky enough to get a sequel, before we get into Darkseid and Doomsday,
Lets have Brainiac as our villain

Darksied is perfect for MOS3. I want there to be a World's Finest film before MOS3, ironically enough. That can allow the writers for MOS3 to have time to work on it while many fanboy's dreams are put on the screen.

HOWEVER.. if MOS is as great as it looks, I'd SETTLE for WF as a sequel. It wouldn't have to top the cinematic quality of MOS, but it can just be fun with some emotional depth. MOS2 has more of that burden, though ;)

I think if they do MOS2 it'll introduce lex as the behind the scenes guy. I think they should do at least one more superman movie before they go for any kind of team up. I mean he's only just revealed himself to the world in MOS, need another movie to get people to trust him enough.

It's aiming for a 2015 release with production starting fall of this year.

Now...I can SEE MoS 2 aiming for a 2015 release if they started now.

I mean, if you look at Pirates of the Carribean 5, they barely got their directors now along with the writer, and that's due next Summer. The Marvel movies' writing process has been fairly fast, with writing on 'Guardians' starting last summer.

I think it would be crazy if WB can make it happen with a MoS2 in 2015, and then Justice League in 2016.

If TASM 2 is going down the route that I think it's going in regards to how it'll utilize its villains, I wouldn't mind seeing Lex portrayed in a Normal Osbourne type of way where, like you said, he's shown as more of a behind-the-scenes type of person for most of the film and how he somehow creates the chain of events that leads to there being two super powered villains, each with a vendetta of their own, against Superman.

I'd rather see him in a movie that's LIKELY to be good. Ultimately, I want it to come down to Superman vs Darkseid, no matter what :)

I'd rather wait for that good JL movie (whenever it comes) than to waste Darkseid's full potential by having him in a Superman movie.

Darkseid is powerful enough to take on the whole Justice League by himself. He is not your average Brainiac or Doomsday.

Must..resist the urge...to comment about the terms 2015 and JL when they're put in the same sentence/post........

I'm not entirely sure why, but I find this image particularly chilling.

I say Lex (in the shadows) builds Metallo for the second film, tease the new President 'Luthor' by the end, all the while Clark keeps researching the bad side of Lex.

Then Lex is the main villain in the third film. Not only against Superman but also Clark Kent, because Lois and Clark try to show the truth behind the Luthor name (very Birthright-esque).

Tease Darkseid in the credits for the JL film. By this point, 3 MOS films, we should have at least 1 Batman reboot, Flash, Green Arrow, and maybe Wonder Woman film. Treat Green Lantern/Aquaman as Hawkeye because of that crappy Ryan Reynolds film or because Aquaman might be hard to do.

Who is that Kryptonian twice the size of everyone else? I keep seeing him in the TV spots but I don't know who he is.

Personally, I think it'd be better for Lex to be the main villain in the second film, with the two other villains that you mentioned being major but not the main villains to the story.

Brainiac should appear in the third and I don't think he should be saved for the likes of a JLA film since Superman deserves to go up against him by himself first at least.

Nam-ek; a kryptonian that was bio-engineered to be that tall and strong; only takes orders, and mentioned in being the deadliest of Zod's soldiers.

I think Lex is the most powerful as a background character who unravels. It's more sinister. I disliked how in earlier film incarnations he always stated his plans.

I agree with most of you!! Darkseid should be the baddie for JL, so save him. Dont get me wrong I want a WF or JL movie (doesnt matter which) but what I want is for this one to be a smash and then they get right to work on a sequel for it. I understand that WB might want to strike while the iron is hot with CBM's but if you rush a JL it could definitely blow up in their faces!

For the sake of some of our sanity here.lol, could we not bring up the JL film as much, at least in the context of presuming that it's going to be released in 2015 instead of MOS 2? Because as history has shown, it's just going to start up an endless debate of people saying why it will or will not happen and I think everyone had enough of that the last time.

Does Nam-Ek show his face, I wonder.

I think he will since you can see his face, somewhat, in that shot of Zod and his soldiers walking together on Krypton (presumably confronting Jor-el)
