On another note, a part of me thinks that there's a chance that Jax-ur may not participate within the super fights and might be regulated towards being a scientist role of an villain (non physical). I still have yet to figure out on how the likes of Tor-an, Dev-em, and the other female kryptonian fit within the equation since they're the only ones who we've seen no footage of them being in action.

Thanks Kane for the gifs!

On another note, I kind of wish that we could get another Documentary about Superman like how SR had one leading up to its release: "Look up into the Sky".

Considering that quite a few things have changed for the character, let alone the times since then, I think it'd be fitting, especially with it being the 75th anniversary of the character, that we'd get something new.

Yeah. I like John's use of film in Iron Man 1 and 2 over Black's digital IM3. But yes, I am starting to wonder if digital is being forced on filmmakers in Marvel.

Wasn't Thor done on film? I could've sworn it was filmed on Panavision Panaflex Millennium XL.

Anyways, great gifs as always, Kane! :)

"General Zod sets a very high bar for whatever villains we'll see further down the line in this franchise, and at least part of that is because "Man Of Steel" makes a strong case for Zod's point of view. " - Drew from Hitfix

Someone brought that quote up in the comments trying to figure out if he had seen it or not, Drew's response was:

"I'm probably just guessing.

Probably."

I have very little idea what Zod's point of view is, because I've been avoiding spoilers as much as possible, but it sounds to me like the next villain ought to be as unsympathetic as possible. An opponent whose philosophy has no redeeming characteristics would make for a different challenge for Superman.

Also, it's great to hear that Zod is a memorable enemy!

I'm not really sure if it's the right time for him, but Doomsday fits that bill. A savage force of nature that is all about destroying.

Seeing all of these trailers and TV Spots is giving me joy. I hope after I've seen the movie that feeling remains!

Which is how he should be used if he is used in a future sequel. Not really a villain, but a weapon.

I'd like to see Doomsday as a JL film villain, would allow them to spend more time on the heroes personalities, it'd be cool to see Doomsday take down each member of the JL until Superman is forced to completely let loose in order to take him down.

Yeah, or maybe Lex if he only desires power and money for himself.

Question: what's usually Brainiac's motivation?

For the sequel I want Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl and Superman up against Darkseid or Brainiac!

Well here are all the scenes so far with the exception of Lois finding the fortress and a few other short clips that if I put them together would only make like 4 sec. extra.

I was trying to edit all the clips again but It took a lot of time so I think I'm done for now.

Here is how I think the movie will go down :)

WoW so far with all the trailers ,tv spots and the behind the scenes videos we have seen almost 6 min and 30 sec of footage :wow: Well if we get more I will add them. Sorry if some of the clips run fast :csad: to edit them is not that easy. And also sorry for not having audio.

I wonder if anyone else agrees with this

This incarnation of Superman should have the right to have his own trilogy, especially if Man of Steel turns out to be great, which I have no doubt it will, but a mash up movie like JL could screw it all up. We all saw with Iron Man 3, the fact that the Avengers were missing during most of the events is ridiculous, and now every "phase 2" movie has the burden of coming up with a stupid excuse for this, also you could tell that with IM3 they were holding back the large scale effects because they feared not being able to top The Avengers, instead, they made a dumb screwball action buddy comedy.

As good as Avengers was, it ruined Iron Man 3's chances of being good and epic, after the disaster that was Iron Man 2. They shouldn't let the same thing happen to Superman, let this character have his own arc, with all the potential great villains to explore, and then maybe move on to something else. But Superman at least deserves to have as great of a trilogy as Batman did.

I watched the doc again a week ago. I don't think they should release a follow up yet. I say wait until all of the Superman films in this new series come out then do an update. Assuming MOS is a hit and spawns sequels.

I had no problem believing why The Avengers were missing during IM3. That was by no means its biggest flaw. The movie takes place within the course of like 24 hours. And during that time Tony is out of communication with almost the entire world.

I too believe that Man of Steel deserves it's own trilogy. One that is just as good as Nolan's Batman. But that doesn't mean Cavill's Superman can't also lead the Justice League. Well written Superman should be able to fit in both. Same with Batman. I think Bale's Batman has a chance of fitting into the larger universe as well.

So overall, no. I think Superman should have his own trilogy along with JL or World's Finest movies.

That is true; I just finished re-watching the documentary myself as well. From what I saw, it really looked like not only were a lot of people hoping that "Superman Returns" would be the hit film that would bring Superman back into the eyes of the public, but that it WOULD be a hit as well.

I mean, I see the cast and crew talking about Superman and I'm like, "Okay, so why didn't I see that play out in the film?".

It's like they were billing it to be a certain film, and when the film actually came out, it was quite different from what we had promised to.

And speaking of sequels, I honestly hope that IF Mos turns out to be a success and starts the beginning of a franchise, that its fate doesn't end the same that CR's Superman franchise did, where it started with so much promise, only to end in such an anticlimactic manner for the great actor.

One thing that this DC films could overshadow Marvel Studios is in the cinematography dept. I swear, the Marvel movies have great DPs attached to them, only to make each movie look generic. I think Thor 2 is the only one thus far that has a rich look to it. And maybe Iron Man 1.

If this continues beyond Man of Steel, I think the DC films will look like films, not TV movies.

It's one thing with shaving, but I've always wondered on how Superman even gets a haircut.lol Unless his stays a certain way, via Full Blooded Saiyan form from DBZ, after it grows a certain length, then his hair should be as long as Samson since I can't think of an way that they could have cut his hair.

Funny. Thinking about it, would the suit's kryptonanites do the 'shaving' ?
