I wonder how much of Jenn's comments you can take seriously. It's almost as if she hates MoS/WWZ just because of the Bechdel Test. If that's what she's harping it on, then idk if we can take her seriously due to her gender bias (irony lol).

I'm a big fan of a Robert J Sawyer novel called Mindscan, which describes a future where humans have managed to create artifical replicas of the human brain in robot bodies. Bear with me....

When people are nearing death, they can make a complete copy of their brain (down to every last neuron) within the confines of the artificial one. It doesn't transfer their consciousness as such - but creates a new copy, which has all the memories, thoughts and feelings of the old one. That person then goes off to die, whilst the 'new' version of them lives on - perhaps infinitely. And from the perspective of the new one, it believes it is the original - perhaps in a different form, but it has every memory and all the same characteristics and such.

I've a feeling that the virtual Jor-El AI may be similar to this. The original Jor-El will die on Krypton, but before he does he may create a copy of his mind, for want of a better expression. Rather than hosting it in a new physical body however, it will materialise as a hologram. And by having all the traits of his original mind, it will be able to answer anything that Jor-El knows (up until the point he copied his mind, at which point this new version began carving its own future) and will also retain all his thoughts, feelings and emotions towards his son.

On Earth, we take videos, photos and blogs to keep a history of our lives. Kryptonians are significantly more advanced than us (25,000 years of space travel behind them) so their method of recording their history may be a lot more complex :)

Based on what Daniel has said, she was probably talking about MOS, he said it wasn't quite as good as Batman Begins, but gives a great platform for sequels. sounds just like a nolan/goyer script! lol

Jenn's tweets aren't about After Earth, seeing she can talk about After Earth all she wants. It is either World War Z or Man of Steel but seeing she just saw it last night I would guess MOS. Also, that is what the (one lady who saw MOS said, reason why WB doesn't want them to tweet about it is because its not good).

Could care less about what is said at this point. I don't take stock in any of the twitter reactions just yet good or bad. :whatever:

Honestly I'm waiting on you folks who get to see it 5 days. I just cant see people saying oh man it was an 11/10 and then someone saying it was abysmal and that's why WB doesn't want us to tweet about it.

Regardless of reviews it wont stop me from seeing it! Plus I'm not a critic doesn't take a whole lot for me to like a movie. Maybe I'm just simple that way.

No movie will ever be universally loved, because no movie is perfect. Every movie, no matter how good, has problems. And depending on the viewer and their life experiences/POV those problems can either be gigantic and ruin the movie, or minuscule and easily ignored/forgotten.

Note: The above statement does not apply to The Iron Giant, which is a perfect movie. If you have problems with The Iron Giant, you either have no soul, or your soul is malfunctioning and should be returned.

If I was to worry about other film views other than my own, this certainly won't be one of them.

Not as good as BB? Can't see it. The script should be equally good considering the people involved, the cast is equally good and the scale + action are bigger and better. Of course I haven't see it yet so it could be true but again, I seriously doubt it.

These next 2 weeks are going to be crazy. :funny: I can't wait for next week for the first clips to start rolling in, talk shows, new TV spots and hopefully some character posters. Lois, Faora, Pa Kent, heeelllooooo WB, whats up with that?! :woot:

Ok, this is it for me. I wish us all a bloodless, painless journey, and for Man of Steel to be the movie we hoped it would be. See you on the other side. #melodrama

I want MOS to be the best CBM ever, but it doesn't have to be. It needs to be good enough and make enough money to springboard the character. Superman is honestly one of the only superheros I have ever really cared about. Don't get me wrong Batman is cool, and I really came away digging Ironman after 2008, but there is just so much that can be done with Supes. I want to see it happen.

There's a reason why they told us not to tweet about the movie we just saw: IT'S TERRIBLE!!!
Really? Is it me or does this tweet just seem like attention grabbing?

At least nobody is tweeting about how horrible Cavill is...not yet anyway. :funny:

I think I just saw a confirmation (moreso maybe than the Synder comment that "Superman" will be said in MOS) from the BTS featurette yesterday on that said subject: did anyone else notice from the Amy Adams interview the newspaper is the back that screams "SUPERMAN"?

I can see the Lois complaints though, BB had a weak female lead and to pack so much stuff into a 2hr 20min film, there's a possibility to have at least one underwritten character.

It's different shots for probably two different scenes... when I was making the gifs I was looking at the frames, it has two different camera cuts.

Yeah I noticed that splice too but I think it's intentional and final. It works too well as a coherent scene. It's just as TheFlamingCoco said, the cut and edited result of shooting at different points in the day.

In that case, once you see the movie we can't take your opinion seriously because of your gender bias. I'm sure you didn't mean for your statement to come off as sexist, but it sure did.
Nobody's opinion is invalid.

Batman & Superman are completely different though, there are certain Batman comic writers who probably wouldn't write very good Superman stories.

Man, I cannot wait to see this movie for myself next week.

I know someone who went to the Academy screening last night, and says if you're a fan of Henry Cavill, you'll love it.

Which means he must have been pretty good. :oldrazz:

The first thing she said about it is that there was a lot of action, and that it's LOUD. :funny: Some corny dialogue at times. (Oh dat Goyer. :funny: )

She couldn't say more, and I asked her privately if it was well-made and if she liked it, and she said yes to both.

Though the trailer/TV Spots certainly seem to imply that Lois isn't just damsel in distress, she takes **** into her own hands and fights back.

That sounds infinitely better than LOLRachel Dawes.

Exactly, attention grabbing for sure. That is not the reason they don't want people to tweet about it, and there was another person tweeting the same.

actually they did get bigger in TDK....in BB...Ra's was trying to destroy Gotham via chemicals on criminals and was centralized on the hollows....while Joker had the whole city living in fear....he was blowing up hospitals, killing fake Batmen, kidnapping news reporters, screwing up law officials, killing Rachael...everything about TDK was amped up from BB.

He was doing more to UPSET Gotham's citizens, rather than destroy them.

If the TDK trilogy goes like this-Anithero-Villain-
Henchman

I want MOS to go like this:Antihero-
Henchman-
Villain

Not only would it build anticipation for the next villain, but it would also bump up hype for the next flick.

I would rather have a good, okay, great progression of quality than a
good, great, okay "progression." Because then everyone is disappointed by the third film.

Though it seems like we might get a great-good progression if MOS is nearly as awesome as it looks. ;)
