Thinking about silly nitpicks generally isnt in an executive's job description. At least, it shouldn't be. I mean, any film/superhero buff knows that a lot of the time, executive's come up with some pretty dumb things in regards to these movies. And saying that a title like "World's Finest" wouldn't work because it wouldn't "Resonate" is the type of silly reasoning a studiohead would employ, usually before being proven wrong. Most of the GA don't even care about film title's that much, no matter how many isolated incidents about confused family/friends people want to cite.

At the end of the day, the title should be something that actually fits the idea of the movie. "TDK" and "MOS" fit the idea of their respective movies. And if "WF" is a title that fits the theme of the movie, it should be used.

Damn, you edited this a lot since then. My more serious reply is that I never said it wouldn't be successful being called World's Finest. I just feel it would be a foolproof way for people that don't watch tv or internet surf to know surely that this is a Superman/Batman movie.

100% They'll have something there. Avengers 2 and Star Wars will no doubt have SOMETHING so it would be an unbelievable mistake to not have something. Especially as filming will be done by then.

Oh yeah, this movie will definitely be at next year's comic-con with some footage. Hopefully that will be my first year actually going.

I don't want a "slow burn" for this movie's trailers either. I want Snyder to start out with a badass teaser and increase the badassery as the trailers progress. The slow approach worked for MOS, but this is a different animal.

The GA has always known that the MAN OF STEEL refers to Superman. FOR DECADES. The GA were more familiar with the title Caped Crusader as opposed The Dark Knight before Nolan naming his BEGINS sequel. Comic fans of course were more likely to know THE DARK KNIGHT, and prefer it to Caped Crusader, but it's not something the mass audience had in they conciousness. I don't need to cite a "poll" from pre TDKT era. As someone born in 1976 it's a phenomenom that's from general experience as a fan. I would guess this view is common for the majority of fans over a certain age.

I have this random thought about the flattened part of Metropolis from MOS, and I wanted to get people's opnions on this. Does anyone here think that part when rebuilt, may become the infamous Suicide Slum in Metropolis? I think people might have been displaced by the whole Zod attack, and I'd imagine people would've lost their jobs and homes, urban crime, especially in hat area might rise? The fact that they're also filming in Detroit(also filled with Slums, no offence to anyone from Detroit here) might also indicate this?

I don't want to turn this into a "thing" because Cos, you are actually one of my favorite posters here, no lie. You are thoughtful and reasonable...

But I have to cite the fact that in the Fleischer cartoons, in the George Reeves show, and on and on... They call Supes the Man of Steel. This is his very well known nickname through out pop culture, referenced in many other forms of entertainment, again, FOR DECADES. In songs ranging from pop, rock and hip hop they reference "The Man Of Steel". On tv shows and in film, they've called him the Man Of Steel. That's not my opinion in the least. People in the population at large know that Supes and the Man Of Steel are synonymous with each other, or else they wouldn't be making those references.

As for ole Batsy... I don't think it's a stretch to say that, like it or not, the Adam West show casts a looooonnnggg pop culture shadow. More often than not on that show, in some ways still influential to the public's perception of Batman, they referred to him as the Caped Crusader, even if in comics the preferred moniker was The Dark Knight, especially after Miller's series. The pop culture shift to that moniker has been recent, and mostly due to Nolan's trilogy. I don't think any of that is opinion. I really don't think I am pulling this out my sphincter.
