From our favorite scooper...

#batfleck scoop coming tomorrow! RT
Gotham City is not overridden with crime, but with hipsters! No wonder the Goddamn Batman is so pissed.
Sounds like we'll hear who's in talks for a villain role?

Is there anyway some one can make this pic appear horizontal ?

Very nice, I love the subtle usage of the ying yang and how that relates to Batman and Superman.

The scoop is that Lex Luthor may OR may not be the main villain. Maybe.

Some of the songs on Eh Maybe's playlist:

1. Call Me Maybe
2. Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps
3. Got To Be Certain

I don't want to turn this into a "thing" because Cos, you are actually one of my favorite posters here, no lie. You are thoughtful and reasonable...

But I have to cite the fact that in the Fleischer cartoons, in the George Reeves show, and on and on... They call Supes the Man of Steel. This is his very well known nickname through out pop culture, referenced in many other forms of entertainment, again, FOR DECADES. In songs ranging from pop, rock and hip hop they reference "The Man Of Steel". On tv shows and in film, they've called him the Man Of Steel. That's not my opinion in the least. People in the population at large know that Supes and the Man Of Steel are synonymous with each other, or else they wouldn't be making those references.

As for ole Batsy... I don't think it's a stretch to say that, like it or not, the Adam West show casts a looooonnnggg pop culture shadow. More often than not on that show, in some ways still influential to the public's perception of Batman, they referred to him as the Caped Crusader, even if in comics the preferred moniker was The Dark Knight, especially after Miller's series. The pop culture shift to that moniker has been recent, and mostly due to Nolan's trilogy. I don't think any of that is opinion. I really don't think I am pulling this out my sphincter. :yay:

Thanks for the kind words, man. You're a good friend of mine and these debates are just for stimulation, I don't mean to start anything unpleasant. I was inaccurately speaking from the perspective of the younger generation, and since you've really proven your point I have nothing else to bring to the table.

It was not bad, but I think some blue on Batman would be a nice compliment for some reason. Go better with the red on Superman.

On the plus side: You are being gracious and personable about this. :woot:

On the minus side: I'm realizing I'm turning into and old, old man... :word:

I'm just happy to see people younger than me interested in my favorite DC/Marvel superheroes at the level I find here on SHHype. :yay:

Long live the Hype. :highfive:

The one and only..

Umberto's really lagging these days, and a tad sensitive (he'll call people 'bumjuice' and the like if they call him out on his BS). These days chances are 50/50 that he gets something right, as opposed to five years ago. Methinks his 'sources' are misleading him, or some things he's pulling out of his ass. He did report studio hearsay about Affleck as Batman on Twitter this past February, but he never followed up on it (let alone posted an article until AFTER the fact). The announcement surprised even him.

When that happened, he quickly backtracked saying "I CALLED IT FIRST COOL KIDS. BACK IN FEBRUARY!" No you weren't, you posted a Tweet about studio hearsay. You weren't smart enough to pursue that like you did with Rocket Raccoon's voice actor, you kept saying "Christian Bale will return, mark my words!"

*snort*

The scoop is that Lex Luthor may OR may not be the main villain. Maybe.

Anybody have a theory on who would therefore be the main villain? Even if only as the string-puller behind the scenes, Luthor has to be in this movie in some regard, since IMO he is as important a part of the Superman mythos as Lois Lane.

My current theory is that Metallo is a shoe-in for the more "physical" villain that Supes will have to fight.

I've got a bad feeling they'll just turn this movie in a Batman movie and have Superman as the villian

They will and Superman will be killed and Batman will have crazy sex with Lois after his victory. :o
