Devin Faraci says Brainiac will indeed be the villain in Justice League, fwiw. He says Brainiac is pulling the strings in Dawn of Justice.
Oh please, this has always been the idea of fanboys and a logical idea for progression. There is no scoop here.

If WB was still under Robinov, I would agree that they would have no plan. :o

It's not really random
BvS in 2016....WW appears in it
WW in 2017...which leads into
JL part One also in 2017
Flash and Aquaman appear in JL Part One and have solo movies in 2018
Shazam is in 2019...we do not know if he's connected or not but it's kinda coin incidental that he appears the same year as
JL Part Two...also 2019...Cyborg and GL appear in JL Part Two
and get solo films in 2020

it's pretty connected
I find the idea that there won't be a Superman or Batman solo film for over half a decade... well odd at least. It basically means all of Superman and Batman appearances will be in the team ups or appearances in other films.

And I am not saying that don't have a plan. But this doesn't exactly feel like a Scorsese edit. Ridiculously tight, where every move has a reason. More Peter Jackson, throw everything and pray.

I know you don't mean anything negative, but why does it matter what race they are? The characters are good and deserve their time in the light. Same thing with people bringing up Miller being gay. It has not baring to me, if he does the part well, that's all I ask. Good characters are good characters dang it.

It matters because by looking at the heroes who have appeared in movies they all are white males. People like to see diversity in their movies. Comics have taught us that heroes can be men, women or children, gay or straight...it's time to see that on screen.

I know everyone is making a big deal that the Cyborg movie might be the first Black actor lead superhero movie before marvel does one but let us not forget there is a Hawaiian-Native American lead superhero movie and an Israeli-female led superhero movie coming out before then too!

That is pretty cool guys even if Black Panther comes out before Cyborg, WB/DC are already making Superhero Movies with non-white actors as leads. I pretty damn excited for this!

It is always a possibility they'll appear in one solo each before 2020.

Maybe because we've yet to have an African-American or black superhero of any kind get a stand alone film in this modern age of CBM's nor a female led one?

Just because they're not listed between now and 2020, doesn't mean we'll have to wait until after that.

This is what they said at the conference.

The Superman and Batman solos are not dated. In the investors conference, they mentioned that they can place those movies anywhere because they are huge properties. I would guess one in 2018 and one in 2019 maybe?

What a bunch of great news to wake up to. Just so excited right now.

It shouldn't matter though. We shouldn't see white or black, gay or straight. I hate that social issues creep into our movie experiences :( Can't we just enjoy these great characters to happen to white or black, or whatever??? sigh

I believe they said they have plans for solo Batman and Superman movies in that time period...just not scheduled. If I had to plan it they'd appear in the spot between JL One and JL Two

Which if true, makes far more sense to me. Though I wonder why they would be holding on those films.

Perhaps that is why JL part 1 has the date it does.

Me.

That sounds far more appealing to me. I would hope for a solo Big 3 film every year there isn't a JL movie.

We should have got this thread to part 100 sooner. The news basically came hours after this thread reached part 100, it is like WB/DC was waiting for that in order to release the news. :cwink::woot:

Exactly! It should not matter if they are black, white, gay or straight which is why Aquaman being non-white and Wonder Woman being Israeli is a good thing. It shows that it doesn't matter what theses character skin color are.

What exactly do you mean by "modern"? Are you just referring to the recent Marvel movies and the new DC movies? Cause there's been black and female stand alone superhero movies before.

So does this confirm back to back filming with BvS and JS Part 1?

Probably why he said "modern".

Marvel announces Black Widow for summer 2016 and Black Panther for summer 2017. :cwink:

Honestly, I don't care character about the race or the sex, I just want to see my favorites adapted well. I'd prefer Wally, but to see a proper Flash movie makes me giddy. To see Superman and Batman on screen together makes me giddy. To finally see Wonder Woman on the big screen makes me hysterical. Same at the chance of seeing Harley and a proper Green Lantern film.
