Still sad about the lack of the X-mas Flash/GL buddy cop movie on that list. :csad:

Hopefully sometime post-2020. :cwink:

I wouldnt be surprised if The Flash/GL do team-up. This slate of movies is planned at the moment but like sites have pointed when talking about them, alot can change in Hollywood. So you might see some movies dropped, other superheroes planned for solo ventures team-up. WB might also be bought out by another company in the coming year or two, and they might change the slate altogether.

I'm very glad it doesn't look to be happening.

Those two are best served individually in their own franchises. They work well together, but save that for JL. I'm not interested in a whole movie centered around it.

Given some of the info that has come out in regards to the Suicide Squad film, I'm most excited for that than any of the other DC films coming after BvS. And I am very interested to see what role, if any, the Suicide Squad will play in this DCCU. It's such an outlier in the slate DC/WB put out.

A lot of people were surprised about the announcement of Suicide Squad. But like GOTG, I think WB is hoping to assemble a group of characters, throw them together and see how audiences respond to them, and if they do provide huge box office then we might see more villains assembled for future films.

That's be awesome to see more villains assemble for DC.

I really hope the Carrie Kelly/Female Robin rumors are wrong, I have no interest in ever seeing that. This Batman portrayal already sounds too heavily linked to The Dark Knight Returns for my liking as it is.

I'm pretty sure Warner Bros has looked at films like GOTG (which is fast approaching $710 million at the ww box office) so hopefully they bring together some great actors, perfect for the roles and work hard to create a movie people will want to go see!

Yes and I enjoy the idea behind The Suicide Squad more than that of the GOTG.

I dont mind a female Robin, but I dont want her to be included just as fan-service. She has to be there for a reason, serve some purpose. I also wouldnt be surprised if many of the rumors sites have been claiming are in the movie turn out to be true.

They also say there will be fireworks, paparazzi and "heavy special effects."

If it hadn't been done already, it would have been pretty dope to see either Lex or Bruce do this at the party.lol

Lex going at Bruce, physically? Seems things are vague... I could see it if a threat or situation occurs where Lex is the responsible party and Bruce takes him to task. I guess we will see.

Given that Superman and Batman are likely to be portrayed as equal protagonists in this film, do you guys think they'll make Lex into an equal archenemy for both of them? Or do you guys think that they'll have another villain to spare for Batman to focus on and that Lex will have more of a bigger beef with superman?

I know me, Shauner, LEVI, and a few others have said this, but maybe each of the members included will be added into their respective heroes' solo films:
Deadshot-Superman or Batman
Harley Quinn-Batman
Deathstroke-Batman or Cyborg
Captain Boomerang-The Flash
Black Manta-Aquaman

Hm that's not a bad way of using them. I never thought of it like that. I can see that.

I think for a film they have to make Lex a threat to both, but that may not absolutely mean his ire and anger are equally aimed at both. I do hope for a villain or villains in the film that can be threats for Batman specifically, like a Deathstroke/Deadshot type. Could we maybe see Tao's Mercy as a sort of Lady Shiva type?

I kinda hope that they do use the Squad film to intro some villains to be used later in the hero solo films. Manta showing up first in Squad then wrecking shop in Aquaman would be great for both.

Well according to rumors floating about, Luthor and Bruce do have a number of scenes together. Apparently he manipulates Bruce Wayne/Batman which is difficult to believe since this Batman is supposed to be older/wiser according to the Warner Bros press release.

As well if its true, and that station did get somebody to break their vow of silence about what is going on behind the scenes, Warner Bros would be furious. It also makes me question whether other leaks will occur long before the movie opens and potentially spoil the ending/key developments in Batman v Superman.

This is LEX LUTHOR. The Greatest Criminal Mind Of Our Time. If anyone can pull the wool over ole Batsy's eyes or make the fool of him, it'd be Lex (barring the Joker being around.)

I'd like to see

Deadshot - Leader
Harley - Comic Relief
Cap Boomerang - The wisemouth
Killer Frost - Femme Fatale
Bronze Tiger - Martial Arts, all around badass
Blockbuster - Muscle

Deathstroke - Waller's, Plan B, antagonist to the team.

What about Rick Flag? Isn't he normally the field leader for the Suicide Squad? Plus, he'd be a good way to add some type of "heroic-like" figure to the group of anti-heroes/villains.

I don't think it serves a purpose to make Robin a female period, other than to add another female hero. I hated the Carrie Kelly character and pretty much everything else about Dark Knight Returns so I'm really getting more disinterested in this version of Batman as more news comes out about this film. Granted this is just a rumor right now and I hope it stays that way but the more we hear the more links to Dark Knight Returns pop up and that's really disappointing for me personally. I know most people love DKR but I really didn't care for it at all to be honest.

There are plenty of Batman sidekicks to choose from, multiple Robins and Batgirl/woman, Carrie Kelly is arguably the worst of them all, I really don't have any interest in seeing that character. I'd rather see them add one of the other Bat Family females.

Not a bad mix. And I am glad to see you included some truly super powered villains like Frost and Blockbuster into the mix. I think it should be noted that if the whole team is just Deathstroke/Deadshot/Quinn level powered then it's not much more than something like THE LOSERS film or The A-Team, just with more flamboyant fight choreography. With truly super powered (super strength, energy projection, freeze powers, ect.) characters this really becomes the DIRTY DOZEN of a comic book super hero universe. I have my own list, two in fact:

Version A:

X-0 Amanda Waller
X-1 Col. Rick Flagg jr. (everyone has forgotten about him.)
X-2 Oracle ( everyone seems to have forgotten SS was where where Babs first adopted this ID. Her in the wheelchair would be a strong hint at what's been going on with Batman in this DCCU. Hmm... Jena Malone as Babs?)
X-3 Bronze Tiger
X-4 Deadshot
X-5 Black Manta
X-6 Killer Frost
X-7 Capt. Boomerang
X-8 Blockbuster

Version B:

X-0 Amanda Waller
X-1 Bronze Tiger
X-2 Catwoman (Yeah... Why not?)
X-3 Harley Quinn
X-4 Deadshot
X-5 Deathstroke
X-6 Black Manta
X-7 Nemesis
X-8 Rampage
X-9 Dr. Light
Keep in mind that 2 to 3 of these characters should get offed at some point in the film to fulfill the promise of the concept. So having up to 8 members isn't a problem. The cast will be parred down as the story progresses.

My proposed Suicide Squad list:
Amanda Waller
Deadshot
Bronze Tiger
Black Manta
Harley Quinn
Killer Frost
Captain Boomerang
Deathstroke (I like the idea of him being Waller's last resort to go up against the Suicide Squad)
Cheetah
Nemesis

Cool. Though this team seems to lack some red shirts to get offed. :cwink:

Makes sense. Plus, if they can write Lex where he can believably pose a problem for both Superman and Batman, then they would finally redeem the character in the eyes of the public since he hasn't been taken as a serious villain on film since...ever.

Agreed. Personally, I think this would really work well with further deepening the layers of the DCU, and I've always liked the idea of several characters having encountered each other in other films that you wouldn't normally see them interact with.
