My proposed Suicide Squad list:
Amanda Waller
Deadshot
Bronze Tiger
Black Manta
Harley Quinn
Killer Frost
Captain Boomerang
Deathstroke (I like the idea of him being Waller's last resort to go up against the Suicide Squad)
Cheetah
Nemesis

Yeah I had a similar idea, that Deathstroke is more of a lone wolf. Probably not fitted with an implant or under Waller's thumb as much, rather employed as per a contract or on retainer.

I'm kind of hoping we will have a post-Joker Harley Quinn. Where Joker has died like at the end of Arkham City. Then after a while, with his oldest enemy gone Batman just sort of fades away. Because lets face it, Batman would never retire if Joker was around. Plus, as I've said before in other threads, and probably this one, I just want to see other members of his Rogue gallery on screen. I've had my fill of Joker. I want a new story. I guess he could appear in a flashback if Jason Todd's death is mentioned but only if its a Red Hood story.

How would everyone feel about the Suicide Squad film being the place where we really learn about the Batman of this DCCU, sort of a first taste where things are established about our new Dark Knight? Characters like Quinn, Oracle, or Catwoman can be in the mix as well as Deadshot, or Lady Shiva and we could get a sense of the history of Batman and the Bat mythos in general (if Babs is in a wheel chair it says much has happened) without having to have Batman actually show up.

^Could be cool. I'm also fine if it has nothing to do with the JL movies and just uses a bunch of c-listers that wont be in other movies.

Love this idea.

I'm kind of hoping we'll learn a bit about more than just Batman in the DCCU. Hopefully most of the Justice League will have put at least one member away. Though Superman has, by the time this film is released, starred in two films so we won't really need one of his Rogues. Aquaman might not even be involved in surface affairs at that point either so maybe it wouldn't really fit for him too have a rogue. Don't know what Cyborgs circumstances would be either.
Still, Flash should have a Rogue in there. Wonder Woman as well. Batman of course. Those three should at least be mentioned by members of the Squad. It would be cool if one of the characters mentioned being put away by Nightwing though, even if he doesn't actually appear in the films.
I can imagine there being a scene of Waller looking over possible members of the team and taking note of how they were taken into custody, or even watch surveillance footage of Flash taking down Captain Boomerang, or something similar. Lots of possibilities.

You sir have a splendid idea here.

Sounds like a good idea to me as well.

Plus, if we get Captain Boomerang as well then they can set him up to appear in Flash's universe within the near future as well

Mind you all... I'm not saying that the Squad should be made up entirely of Batman rogues or allies, but if only Quinn, Oracle and say Catwoman (seriously... Can anyone remember if she was ever on the Squad?) or a different mix alongside other rogues from other heroes would be a peek into what we could expect in a Bat solo.

You're right, it's just as well.

Wasn't trying to say you were. I was just expanding the concept to a few more characters. Doubt Catwoman was ever a member. Bats would whoop Waller's a**.

I must ask though, is there confirmation about the stars and characters attached, or is there just a lot of speculation going on?

Can I just say that I have no love for Quinn at all and would prefer a Squad that included Flagg jr. in some way.

Deadshot, Deathstroke, Amanda Waller and Rick Flagg are musts for me. When I think of the Suicide Squad those are the characters I think of first.

I'd prefer to see Harley Quinn's transformation first before she ends up in the Suicide Squad though I understand wanting her in a movie like this because she would make it more interesting. I just don't like the direction some of this DC Universe seems to be going in with regards to Batman, they seem to be skipping alot of interesting and important history if some of these rumors are true about Batman being in his mid 40's, Carrie Kelly being Robin, Harley being separated from Joker already, skipping Dick Grayson transformation into Nightwing, Jason Todd already dead, Jim Gordon likely being retired, heavy Dark Knight Returns influence etc. etc. etc.

I want to see all that on screen, some of those stories I've been waiting to see forever in live action form.

And I don't care what anyone says, you can never over-use The Joker, he could be in every single Batman film as long as he's written well and played by an actor that can pull it off.

There's no real confirmation just sources with some info. I read today also (on the site that shall not be named) again from sources that Smith and Hardy are possibly close to signing for SS.

Hmm... Okay. Thanks.

Apparently Robbie also is close to signing.

I have to admit I'd love to see Robbie play Killer Frost.

Especially if she was wearing the Assault on Arkham costume... if ya know what I mean... :woot:

I think the Squad needs some bona fide super powered threats on it. Killer Frost, Live Wire, Icicle, Mammoth, Rampage, ect.

Wouldn't be awesome if Tom Hardy played Bane again ? I know this is Suicide Squad and not Secret Six but still, wouldn't be amazing ?

The interesting thing about a Suicide Squad film is how do you approach an antagonist?

Will it be a Superhero? Or a villain organisation like Kobra? What's the mission?

I think an Organization would be the way to go.

Hmm... Actually, a modified Simone's Secret Six would make cool adversaries for a DCCU Suicide Squad.
