I have been saying for years...that the BATMAN FOREVER Two-Face was pretty faithful visually compared to what was in the comics.

Was that how he looked in the comics at the time of the film's release?

He's clearly not supposed to be in his late twenties in FOREVER.

Nor was he. He was 24 when it filmed.

And he doesn't look like he's in his late twenties anymore than he doesn't look like a teenager.

Honestly, around that time, Two-Face wasn't showing up a lot in the comics. He was kind of on the back burner.

But there was a recent precedent for it. It's Schumacherized a bit, obviously. But Two-Face (Not Harvey) was a pretty over the top guy for a long time.

You know... She could have been a good Mercy.

People seem to be jumping to the Robin conclusion (even though it seems logical) but I'm wondering if there can't be other explanations that also seem likely.

To me he looked like a guy who was 25-30.

Y'know what. I like the idea of Malone as Carrie. But it does kinda screw with how the rest of the extended Batman family would fit in now. I woulda said Dick and Barbara were essential, but Carrie Kelley does kinda combine both characters (Young colorful Robin/female red-haired tech guru). To be honest, I'm happy for Snyder to just go nuts with his take on the DCU. He's already made decisions with Superman I wouldn't have which was my main sacred ground, so I'm less inclined to bur up now.

On another note, does the Flash casting decision seem a bit inspired by the kid playing Quicksilver in the X-Men films, or is it just me?

Just curious about what decisions about Superman Snyder made that you considered sacred ground?

Oh, ok. I just assumed at the time he had a clean cut look (besides his face of course) as people tend to depict him. Then with Schumacher, I thought he was using an old look for the character to match the vibe he was going for with his film.

I believe the reason people are jumping to such conclusions is because the extra that's about to be fined by WB for violating the NDA contract said a "female Robin" was scripted. :/ And I don't want it to be true.

How? If Snyder follows the canon from TDKR, then Dick and Barbara have already been established. This gives them the benefit of not having to go through an origin for them.

Have there been any reports on how old Superman is supposed to be in this movie? The way he has his hair slicked back it makes him look a bit older. What if that scene that we saw earlier this year of Bruce Wayne rescuing that little girl turned out to be a flashback and that little girl ended up being Carrie. I know it's a stretch but it can sort of work.
We saw that a Superman statue was built and that might serve as a memorial for the reconstruction of Metropolis. To reconstruct Metropolis it would have taken at least 8-12 years I'm assuming so we might have a flashback of Bruce Wayne dealing with the destruction and saving people.

Not just you. It was the first thing I thought when I heard about Ezra Miller as The Flash ("maybe they're going for something like DOFP Quicksilver?").

There have been reports saying it's set 2 years after MOS. Clark was 33 in that film.

I want to know how an extra was even aware of anything as specific as the casting of Malone as Carrie/Robin?

If he follows the canon from TDKR then in Justice League we end up with this.

Since DOFP Quicksilver was going for Bart Allen, it's just returning the favor. :oldrazz:

Is it beyond a guy like Snyder to be behind some disinformation to keep exact details under wraps?

I don't believe Miller's casting has anything to do with Quicksilver, I'm sorry but I don't see how anyone can jump to such a conclusion.

I wouldn't mind Jena as Carrie Kelly Robin as look as she wears the short sleeve shirt with the green underwear and pixie boots.

Oh Mylanta! We're at Part 101. My longest running thread... so beautiful.

Yes... this would make her inclusion acceptable. :woot:

Let's not go there but definitely a lot of the second half of that film culminating in the no-choice killing. I look forward to seeing how BvS deals with it though.

Maybe. It could work I suppose.

What's wrong with TDKSA? Best artwork ever!

Now I can believe a report from the Hollywood Reporter (that she has a small role, what that role is, who knows?) but I wasn't going to take a local reporter at face value.

I just hope too much world building isn't crammed into this film, that remains my worst fear.

Forgive me, I don't want to search for a link, but I believe Zach himself said that this film is going to "explode" the DC Universe on film. So I guess we're in for some world building. I'm personally not opposed. I'll take this over any previous attempt at Robin by a mile.
