Look I am a huge Superman fan but Man of Steel got it right on what would happen in a battle with Superman. The comics even showcase this a lot of times. Look at Earth One, Last Son, War of the Supermen, Doomsday, For Tomorrow and countless others. People are going to die and Superman may be able to save a few of them but there will usually be a high number of deaths if the person Superman is fighting is that strong.

I think watch catches people off guard is actually seeing it happen instead of just looking at panels it makes it hit home more..

From the beginning of the Superman Zod fight till the end of the Superman zod fight. How many confirmed kills? Take this number and compare it to the rest of the films in in this sub genre.

As for world engine stuff, I'm sure the character could have shown more caring in his facial expression. Or better still, if he stopped to save some lives whilst in the middle of...stopping to save all lives. Might have added more humanity to that specific sequence.

As for the entire film. Plenty of humanity in life saving, mid fights even.

It's really just a matter of taste at this point. Not so much facts.

but repeating the same debate with slightly different wording does do much for you? there's nothing that anyone can contribute to that topic anymore that isn't name Zack Snyder or David Goyer, It's been discussed to death since MOS came out.

He was pretty good in Stargate Atlantis. But playing Ronon banked on his physical presence and BFF chemistry with John Flanigan than thespian skills.

I can see him playing Lobo or some kind of villain. It'd be a stretch to see him playing Martian Manhunter.

It is probably Doomsday but I thought they would've CGI'd the character completely.

They're clearly going for a basic formula like that, and I honestly find it a bit distressing. So far, the best super hero movies have been the ones that tried to be a little bit more unique than that.
