Well to be honest, there really wasn't that many people that were walking towards Superman from that rubble.lol

And I don't think they had any reason to be scared of him, but I don't think that it meant that all of them trusted him either.

Let's put it this way, do you think it would have made sense or that it would have been good if we had gone from "Batman Begins" to "The Dark Knight Rises" without showing anything from "The Dark Knight"?

Can we stop jumping to conclusions about this film, please?

We don't know why we're getting all these numerous characters within this film that's being described as a direct sequel to Man of Steel.

We don't know anything yet. Nothing. Can we at least wait to pass judgment when we see some footage first? It won't be long before we do.

I was actually just responding to the "Possible" (not confirmed) scenario if they were to do a Doomsday/Death of Superman plot for the film.

I don't think that it's going to happen at the moment, until proven otherwise, but IF it did, then my last few posts shows my thoughts on the matter.

Well if the events of TDK happened, but all offscreen, then obviously not.

Indeed..that's why I think Superman winning the support of most/all of Metropolis is something that needs to be shown properly on screen and not off.

What I already said...

That all sounds good, but it doesn't sound like Batman VS Superman, more JL vs Superman. And the focus on Superman is not there.


Then again, it could be.


In order for my idea to work, I'm gonna make 4 assumptions.

1. The film makers will deny that the JL are in this film, or will say 'it is NOT the Justice League' instead.

2. Even though WW (and possibly the Flash) will be in this film, they will not 'look' as their comic counterparts (will be explained).

3. There will be one 'origin' in this film, but it will not involve any of the heroes mentioned.

4. Goyer has said Superman was the 1st superhero, everybody else follows. But Batman is a grizzled veteran. So maybe Superman is the first 'public' superhero, that exposes the hidden world?


So, how does this film become BvS, a MOS sequel with a focus on Superman?


A. Following on from MOS, Batman views the so-called Superman a threat - an alien being capable of mass destruction, who's race tried to destroy the Earth, and has also killed? On top of that, this 'Superman' has gone public, showing himself to the world. This alien must be stopped.

2. Batman has a team/associates who will help take down Superman - WW and the Flash. However, they work by being covert / undercover, wearing clothes to match (Batman would be the same, there would be no Scarlet Speedster, just black, and WW? Think Donna Troy).

Batman with a team - NOT the JL.

A covert team, of outcasts.

Of different people from everyone else.

A team of Outsiders.

3. Superman has to take on this team of heroes, earning their trust. At the same time, he has to argue about his philosophy of using his abilities (from MOS) - rather than helping the world in the shadows, SHOW the world who you are.

4. At the same time, we have the emergence of the true villain - (Doomsday) something unstoppable. Something that will destroy us all.

Something that can only be stopped by a Superman....





Yes, it's cheesy. But that's a storyline that could fit all these characters/plot points.

But what about the rumour that JM is playing Hawkman? (I think he IS) Or that the villain is unknown yet? What about Kryptonite?

Remember what Affleck said about this version of Batman? Different from Nolan/Bale's version, but TRUE TO CANON (of what?)


Remember the answer lies with David Goyer, or more precisely, his previous writing credits....,

Blade 2, where the hero teamed up with a team of hunters (trained to beat him) against a greater threat.... And it stayed a Blade movie.


Nobody knows what Kryptonite IS yet, and Batman is going to use it on Superman to stop him? Does that seem like something any incarnation of that character would do? Even in TDK Returns, Batman only used Synthetic Kryptonite as a last resort, NOT straight away.


So how does Batman, a human being, take on Superman?

If Batman can't bring Superman down to a human level, then Batman will have to fight powers with powers.


Imagine an experienced Batman taking on a new opponent. The first things he makes sure of is that he is prepared for every situation.

After the battle in Metropolis in MOS, Batman is aware of Superman's abilities, so needs to oppose it...

Speed - Batman has the Flash...
Strength - Batman has Wonder Woman....
Flight - we have Hawkman...


In the end, we KNOW the outcome - they will all work together.

But this may be one way to include these characters in MOS2 and have it make sense.

So far, the only confirmed Hero character beside the two leads is Wonder Woman.
The rest is a lot of internet speculation.

Which before today he was saying that WB have no plans for that and it's all Trinity. So who knows about that one.

He said Mamoa is not playing Lobo or Vandal Savage since they're not in the movie. No to him playing Martian Manhunter or Aquaman either.

I dont think Jett disregarded Metallo but Elmayimbe did so we'll see about that. I still say it's Lex + either Doomsday or Parasite. Parasite? Because Goyer said in an interview back in June that he's a big fan of the character.

I'm guessing that the dude from Zero Dark Thirty and Momoa are/were being considered for the same character. They both give off more of a physical villain vibe than a mental one, so I could see either of them in consideration for Parasite or Metallo.

No. No at all.

This film is getting out of hand and is solely being rushed to compete with Avengers. I don't mind Batman helping Superman but some things don't make sense and sound bad.

1. No Batman foes. I'm not saying their should be Joker but if Batman and Superman team up, why have Batman fight Superman foes? Is it that hard to get someone else from Batman's rogues? Maybe a crime boss like Penguin or Black Mask working with Lex. Lex and the Riddler would be a interesting team up since they always have worked together on the Legion of Doom. Maybe due to Riddler's intelligence, Lex says it was all his plan and blames it on him when it was Lex's plan because it's a plan Riddler could come up with that's smart. I don't want to see Batman fight Superman's foes, I want to see Superman fight his own rogues.

2. Wonder Woman. Let's be honest, this isn't right. I'm fine with the actress playing her, my problem lies with Wonder Woman being in the movie. Why do we need her in this movie? Why can't it just be Batman and Superman? You guys really think she will be some cameo? They announced WONDER WOMAN before the villain. She's WONDER WOMAN. You don't cast Wonder Woman this soon and just say she's a cameo and won't actually be Wonder Woman.

3. Doomsday. Yes he isn't confirmed but it would be ****ing stupid to do Doomsday. It just would be. After all the **** with Zod and his fight with Superman and the destruction of Metropolis, to go do the biggest threat Superman has ever faced physically that killed him. With sequels you go smaller. It's like if their was a Death Star in Empire Strikes Back and we had the ending we just had in New Hope.

Why can't we just have a Batman/Superman team up film? A simple Batman/Superman team up film. It's just, stop it. How about announcing a writer who is helping Snyder and Goyer because those 2 together writing doesn't give anyone confidence. Announce Affleck's involved. Affleck is the only reason to give people confidence in this film.

I see what you mean, but he isn't a scoop site. So if i was in his position, i wouldnt be like the rest either and just give out spoilers. I would keep it to myself. He's just a Batman site that posts opinion pieces and gives out the official confirmed news. Whether people believed me or not i wouldnt care either.

Im not sure. It's possible that we'll see Freeze, Croc, etc in the solo films but not necessarily. They could stick to Riddler/Penguin/Joker for the Batfleck movies and only have him exposed to the outlandish stuff when he's in the environment of super-powered heroes.

What is happening with this movie is similar to driving down a winding road in the dead of night with no headlights. We can't see the road ahead and so we complain and freak out over every curve and turn…where as if we were to see the same road during the day there would be no complaints because we see the whole road….we know what's coming up.

We don't know anything about this movie and it's freaking some people out. We freak out about this movie being stuffed…with just Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman…what happens when they team up with 4 others in Justice League???

also there is no order of important in casting as it pertains to cast…if that makes sense. WW being cast before the villain means nothing. You cast the roles first that require time to prepare…working out, training…what not. Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot were cast this 'early' because they have some work to do. Where as the actor playing Lex…really only needs to shave his head…no working out required.

Strangely the news of additional heroes has calmed me because it's either going to be a cluster****, or totally awesome. It could be somewhere in between too, and that will be okay.

I agree, but I do wonder about Gadot being cast period. She doesn't seem like the face that could lead a solo movie, and I want Wondy to get a solo film one day. Affleck as Batman makes sense in some strange way, but I don't see Gadot. For me this means I don't think we'll see a Wondy solo film for a while, and she'll only be used for sexual fanboy service.
