I found Hulk 03 was ok. Not great but not terrible.

The cast for Superman Lives would have been:

Nicolas Cage as Superman: Cool with it.
Courtney Cox as Lois Lane: She would have been a good Lois in the 90s.
Chris Rock as Jimmy Olson: I'm ok with it.
Kevin Spacey as Lex: Loved his Lex in Superman Returns so I'm down.
Tim Allen as Brainiac: Ok I'm a little meh but would need to see if it's just a voice or physical. It would have probably been a voice.

Chris Rock as Jimmy Olsen would have been so entertaining.

Not really sure about Cox. I mean she's okay in Scream, but I've never really seen her deliver a good dramatic performance.

Has it been discussed in this thread about the tweets earlier today from the Forbes guy (Mark Hughes) about a potential Trinity reveal photo in the coming weeks? He said he also knows the villains and "They're dangerous and hurt Superman."

Of course, it can always be BS but Forbes is reliable I think?

Sounds good! Hope it happens in the next week or two. It would be a nice surprise.

I wonder if Gal is in ideal shape to look good in the costume yet though?

Sounds like a 100 % comedy/spoof.

Cox struck me almost as a prettier version of Margot Kidder, so that made me think way back that she could make a good new Lois.

I dunno. Out of all the really good actresses of the 90's in that age range they could have chosen.

Your Geena Davis's your Sandra Bullock's people like Minnie Driver or Wynona Ryder.

And they give it to a girl from the sitcom. Yes admittedly the biggest sitcom ever at that point, but a sitcom nonetheless. At that point the only notable movie role she had was Ace Ventura which really was just Monica working for the Miami Dolphins and also Masters of the Universe...

But alas the 90's had a habit of taking actors from Sitcoms and putting them in action blockbusters. I mean without that trend we wouldn't have Will Smith.

There were rumors that Keaton's Batman would cameo in Superman Lives

I liked the idea of Bullock as well. Geena Davis, too. But you can't always hold the state of someone's career against them talent-wise. They may just have not gotten a quality cinematic break yet.

And I'd take a sitcom-starring Cox as Lois over an Oscar-winning Nick Cage as Superman any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I agree with you that actors should be given a chance. But history has sort of been the judge of Cox's career post friends and she didn't exactly set the world on fire.

Though on the otherhand Kidder did pretty much SFA after Superman so Cox might have been perfect for the role.

I guess we'll never know. I can't wait for Jon Schnepp's doco though.

That would have been awesome.
It also wouldn't have made sense... seeing as Superman Lives was supposed to come out in 99, we would have had 2 different Batmen since Keaton departed after Returns

I'd gladly take any manner of nonsensical retcon to see Keaton as Batman again. Still holding out hope for a Batman Beyond with him as Bruce one day

It would have been in the context of the Burtonverse, suppose Superman Lives merging into the worlds of B89, BR.

Bruce has moved from Wayne Enterprises and is now the CEO of Omincorp.

You know one thing that would have been incredibly cool to see would have been Burton's take on Metropolis.

I predict we would have seen a sort of futuristic art deco style almost like the "World of the Future" exhibits at the old world's fairs of the early 20th century.

We don't have time for logic. It still would have been awesome.

FYI... SUPERMAN:THE MOVIE playing now on the HUB. I guess I'm in for a couple hours. :)

God I was so glad that the movie never got made, as I didn't like Burton's Batman movies, and the Superman prospects had farce written all over it.

Who knows. It probably would have been terrible but extremely watchable as a one-off. Then again I like Batman & Robin more and more with each viewing. Returns and Forever, not so much

I dunno I'd rather have a Burton Superman to enjoy and laugh at than a completely boring exercise in nostalgia like Superman Returns.

I disliked how much influence Burton's Bat films had on almost all mass media versions of superhero projects for so long.

A modern version of that suit wouldn't be bad. :atp:
