I found Hulk 03 was ok. Not great but not terrible.
The cast for Superman Lives would have been:

Agreed it was a great suit and a great show. It's clear they were trying to emulate Burton's Batman with the sets and tone of the show
A modern version of that suit wouldn't be bad.![]()
Seemed to work for this

Hey, different strokes bruthaman. I'm one of the minority that's critical of a lot of TAS. I really disliked the faux 1940's/1950's styling to things. I know that some feel in TAS and the Burton's films it makes things timeless, but I find it jarring and anachronistic. The 90's FLASH show had this too. What's with all the fedoras?
*opening music
*freakish nature of Penguin...he closely looked like BR's Penguin down to the flipped hands
*Timeless nature of the show...just like in the Burton movies there are current technology and past technology...EX. Gotham PD has a blimp.
*Catwoman's original TAS look closely resembled BR's Catwoman but her bald suit didn't work with the back grounds.
*zip line gun

I thought Courtney Cox was Lois Lane in Superman Lives.![]()
^ I always thought that was a shoutout, not a continuity bridging![]()
I remember the grey one coming first, which to me looked nothing like Burton's.
Bruce Timm kept enough in to satisfy the studios that it was connected to the Burton films. But the real inspiration for that cartoon is the Fleischer Superman cartoon. Timm wanted to make a counterpart that could sit next to that series.
Also I'm pretty sure Alfred refers to Joker by his Jack Napier name in one of the episodes of the first season. Before they settled on Joker having an ambiguous past in the Mask of the Phantasm movie.
There is a scene in the first season where Batman is looking at Joker's file and it lists him as jack Napier.
I'm aware of all that. It just was not quite my cup of tea. I still watched it because I still thought it was a quality product overall, but my druthers in general were different. I am totally in love with JLU though so in the end I got something great out of Timm's work, so there's that.
Was that really only in Burtons? See,ed kind of toned down from thatm and think he became even more 'human' in later TAS's.
I don't recall Penguin being a freak in the comics. However first season BTAS closely resembled Burton's Penguins
I still attributed that more to Batman's history moreso that Burton. This is the first time I've seen this mentioned, actually.
Probably but both featured it

She was originally going to be in the black costume but it was causing a problem since the backgrounds were done on black paper.http://batman.wikia.com/wiki/Catwoman_(BTAS)
Again, this is the first I'm seeing it mentioned, but I can kind of see similarities. Maybe he never had one before.
Batman didn't have a zip line gun until after the movies
One of the things I liked so much about TAS was that it was so different than the Burton movies in look and feel. If these really are influences from the Burton flicks, then they thankfully did a good job of not making it very noticeable.
Again, if so, thankfully it didn't feel that way.
The only weakness JLU has is that after the first two seasons it wasn't allowed to use any Batman characters besides Bruce because of the inferior show "The Batman".
Such a shame. I wish we could have seen David Warner return as Ra's Al Ghul.
JLU only ran 2 seasons
I'm pretty sure she was. But there are conflicting reports on certain actors.
I also read somewhere that Jim Carrey was going to be Brainiac and that Tim Allen was only considered early on
it was different from the Burton movies but they influenced the show a lot
Yeah, the show probably wouldn't have been what it was WITHOUT the Burton influence, so it's something to be thankful for.
