Cheaper actors?

Considering everyone not named Robert Downy Jr got 250 thousand for Avengers, how much cheaper could you get?

Can't picture Vin or Bradley being paid cheap.

I prefer cheaper actors like Cavill and Gadot. Less exposure makes it much easier for me to accept them as the character.

Makes me wish they'd got cheaper guys like Corey Stoll or Jason Clarke for Luthor instead of Eisenberg.

Less money paying the actors the better IMO.

...

How much do you think Bradley Cooper got paid for voicing his character?

Probably under a million.

Did Evans and Hemsworth really only make 250k for the avengers?
No. I don't know what their contract was for initially signing on, but when it was all said and done, every actor was paid handsomely.

This.

So much this.

Also, the whole "there's no way to explain how THE DARK KNIGHT RISES could take place in a shared universe" argument is nonsense. For one thing, had it been part of a shared universe in the first place, it likely would have been adapted as such.

Barring that, there are several valid explanations for why various heroes might not have shown up, the easiest being that some/all of them didn't exist yet at that point in the timeline.

Stories involving individual heroes like TDK or TDKR can be interesting and cannot work as well in a shared universe.

Where was Superman when Galactus invaded in green lantern? Is his absence a plot hole? No, because he isn't in that universe.

And Tony said in Iron Man 2 that he'd wave his fee. Tsk tsk.

Galactallax

aka

Parralactus

Thor's world doesn't take place on Earth. His world is like the Fairy Oddparents Fairy World where you have to cross some rainbow bridge.... HOLY **** WHY AM I JUST NOTICING THIS NOW?????!!!!!!!!

Also GOTG takes place in space. Easy to tell space stories. It's hard to sell a lost world not known to us story. I would use King Kong as influence for Wonder Woman.

I still want a reason Flash can't get a film. Give me one ****ing reason.

Green Lantern flopped. I think that is the actual reason.

Did we start shipping the fecal waste clouds? :hmm

The second part of that is nonsense.

If they had planned to connect MAN OF STEEL to GREEN LANTERN, it could fairly easily be explained/assumed that Superman was still touring the world trying to find himself as MAN OF STEEL showed, and not only wasn't he Superman yet, but he didn't know everything he was capable of yet. It's entirely possible he wouldn't even have known about Parallax until it was over.

Biggest problem there is that his nephew has a Superman birthday party so he'd either have to be established or fictional.

Also Perry White's line imagine how the world would react if they knew there was someone out there like this doesn't really fit in if there's been a Green Lantern and a guant evil alien.

I just don't think you can tie Green Lantern to it without MOS having come before and then that leaves the question, where was Superman when Parallax was eating the City?

That birthday party scene was so pointless considering that Hal's family are never referenced again afterwards.

I forgot about that. Though I would consider a detail like more of an homage than anything (a la the Keep Calm and Call Batman poster in MAN OF STEEL and an Easter Egg, not something that should really affect worldbuilding so much.

Right, but obviously if they intended to connect the films, that line wouldn't likely be there.

Also, I doubt a whole lot of people really know exactly what Green Lantern is, and all he was capable of (especially since it's pretty much anything). Unless they had cameras on all of space and saw his battle with Parallax. To a distant onlooker, I would imagine it would look like some kind of energy event/explosions, etc. Even if they saw what Hal could do, it'd be difficult to quantify it.

He either wasn't Superman yet, or he was away, or unaware of what was happening until it was over.

It's not rocket science.

It's not pointless. It helps set him up as a disappointment. And the party and his talk with his nephew is character work, and pretty much the source of Hal's inspiration for his first construct.

Any of the problems mentioned wouldn't stop them from connecting the movies if Green Lantern was a success. They wouldn't throw a bunch of money down the drain because of small plot inconsistencies.

But GL was a failure that they won't be continuing, so it's besides the point I guess.

So to get back on topic, I think we might see pictures of BatFleck in May. The rumours say March but May makes more sense to me because it is the 75th anniversary of Batman. Thoughts?

They start shooting soon and who knows what they have in store for the Bat-fleck scenes they are going to shoot. I would think they would get the official promo pic with Batlfleck in the suit before somebody steals a picture of it on the streets and leaks it out. I think we'll see the reveal next month.

Maybe June or July. Possibly August... I have doubts for September.
