I'm a huge comic book nerd but I don't really fit the stereotype. I'm as into rock music as I am comic books, and I've had a few girlfriends. I don't have a neck beard, I'm not pimply and fat
I'm a pretty normal guy I just have an obsession with superheroes :p

Have any of you guys had girlfriends that disapprove of your hobbies/time on the hype? Every girlfriend has been really accepting of it and a few even thought it was cute for some reason

I think my comic book and superheroes hobby has been one of the least annoying things about me to girls I've been with :cwink: Honestly, they've gotten much more annoyed with my sports obsession, particularly football and basketball (I played both through high school and majored in Sports Administration in college) I take fantasy football way more seriously than I should, to the point that Sundays were probably a nightmare for past girlfriends.

But I think with such an abundance of comic book movies in recent years, most girls probably don't think it's weird or anything. Hell half of the girls that I've been with or am friends with go see the movies and want to know more about them and the superhero world.

I don't fit the type either.

I'm 6'5 and 227 pounds of pure muscle. I've successfully created 13 million dollar companies that specialize in various unique products, such as glow in the dark double ended *****s. I own a Bugatti Veyron in candy pink. A Lambourghini Gallardo in metallic orange. As well as a 1967 Mini Cooper S coloured red and white. I call Audrey Bitoni and Madison Ivy "servant" and Donald Trump "pally".

If you saw me in real life you'd never guess i was a comic book "nerd".

Superheroes haven't been exactly a "nerdy" thing for quite a while now, and unless your bedroom is completely filled with comicbook posters or statues, very few girls will have problems with it. It's kind of ingrained to western culture at this point.

I am a fat, stereotypical balding nerd with glasses. I have no idea how I managed to get married to an attractive woman and procreate children. I guess the hardcore martial arts and theater acting thing helped downplay my SF/comics geekness.

My wife probably feels she was deceived somehow.

I love the madness!
