BvS All Things Superman and Batman: An Open Discussion - - - - Part 94

"Who knows what is accurate" should be what's after the colon in the film's title.

"BATMAN v. SUPERMAN: Who knows what is accurate?"

We should stick to what Jennifer Garner called it.

"Superman With Batman: or whatever it is"

I actually agreed with every point. The writers attempted humor or whatever was annoying, but every point was pretty spot on. The movie gets more stupid the more i watch it honestly.

Some of his points were nitpicks though, things that dont really bother me that much. But if i sit here and think about every point, yeah, i can see how dumb it is.

I havent read the article since I was busy doing other things but I did hear about it. And yeah, I agree with you on several points.

The overall point is, if you tired of discussing something, just stop doing it instead of trying to destroy it.

Interesting post SofNascimento. There are always easier options too like the ignore feature. I use that myself because some of what people say doesnt interest me, so I just add their name to ignore and refuse to indulge them. But other people will keep talking about somebody they dont like or keep complaining about their views. Yet why read it in the first place when there are options like using the ignore function.

Maybe cuz some posters keep on with their bovine excrement to the point it affects the thread's direction? Or maybe people just know when a poster is kind of obviously not telling the truth, like say "hearing" about one article that are among the hundreds of thousands written every day on the internet?

I think the Olsen rumor will end up being BS. It doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense and came from a very unknown and under the radar site.

I hope its rumor because if not, it sounds rather silly to do.

Don't worry about it. The shoeless one told us that he's not Olsen.

The negative comments always stand out when it's about a movie that we don't know a lot about and is so high profile that people are generally just excited it's happening.
So, yes, the negative stuff is more annoying and it's just something that has to be accepted because it's a minority stance.
Most people are going to be positive this early because they want it to be good and would rather feel that excitement than feel constant skepticism.

Of course we know it's just your opinion and of course you're allowed to state it and but you can't expect to not get more people disagreeing with you than agreeing.

Some of the negative concerns about this movie ARE valid and shouldnt be slammed down b/c people dont like them.Like Gadot or Eisenberg concerns.

Some of the other negative opinions are admittedly baseless.Like all those rumours

But the nature of opinions means just because you have one doesn't mean it can't be argued against.
So, sure people can state the concerns that they feel are valid but they aren't protected.
Those that feel differently can then state theirs.
And the whole cycle continues.

Arguing againstan opinion is fine.Slamming someone for having a opinion is not fine.

For example Im of the opinion that Gadot was not the greatest choice for WW.I can argue why I feel this way but should not be slammed for thinking this way.I should not be called a hater or a troll for having an opinion

Getting real tired of these articles.

I am positive it's been posted before and, frankly, I think it's mostly full of it and snarky for the sake of it, even when it has a point or two. And... Exactly what does the stills shot by Enos have to do with the actual film, of which NO ONE has seen one second of yet? Not to mention, one picture is LITERALLY black and white, done intentionally as part of marketing. Sorry, it's more of the same whiney fanboy projection.

Honestly, and I don't care if THIS comes off as projection, but I have a feeling if WB had given many of the complainers the Superman movie they say they wanted, those self same people would be decrying it for the opposite reasons they are moaning about now.

For the most part I got the Superman film that I wanted from MoS even though I thought it wasn't great. The director and actors were right, I just thought it was painfully obvious that the script could have used a few more drafts and more input than just David Goyer. If a secondary writer like David Hayter had been brought on to help I think it would have been a more polished and cohesive film.

I'm really glad they've brought in Terrio. That to me gives me faith in this film.

It doesn't matter so much what's come before as BvS will lay the groundwork for the future of the DCCU. The only film that has any prior relevance is MoS and the main takeaway from that will be Superman himself who most were happy with whatever their opinions of the film.

I think BvS will be better than MOS but even if the movie doesnt deliver a kingsize hit I'm not really fazed by that either. That's all up to WB.

Has anyone posted this Cracked article? Pretty scathing stuff.

I have to admit I agree with the 'Dark' for 'Realistic' part

I'll put that article on my reading list. But yeah, articles like that are commonplace on the web. There are so many people who doubt WB's strategy for these movies, and quite frankly rightly so in my opinion. Some get angry about it, and think people are just wanting the DC universe to fail, but when people say those kinds of things I think its just because they want other people to think the same way they do and it really just comes down to their desire for control, wanting others to act the same, than anything else.

Agreed. All MOS needed was polishing and it is minboggling that no one thought to do so.
Thats fixed with Terrio on board so Im happy

I just finished reading the article; its well thought out, and worded. Thanks for posting the link Wise!

No, it isn't. It's exactly the same as all the other articles pre-judging a film that, not only has not been filmed yet, but we know almost nothing about it. It's one thing to be skeptical. It's entirely another thing to project your bias onto something.

On the flip side, the very fact that so many of these articles exist, only shows how threatened all the haters are by the existence of this movie.

I disagree. If you dont like to read articles such as that one mentioned then dont. Its really quite simple.
