Yeah I remember hearing about this movie right about the time Shazam rumors circulated years ago. Also back then was the Green Arrow movie Supermaxx which I get the feeling is partly why the series got made. (along with Justice League movies and many other in development)

Remember also that WB was doing other comic properties as well. They made V for Vendetta in '05 not to mention The Losers in 2010 plus Watchmen and others. Just because they didnt connect their universe didnt mean they werent making or developing other films.

Yep. Flash and WW were supposed to spin-off from JLM too. In some cases, like WW, it was about rights issues or something like that. It's why Joel Silver won't be involved in what WW happens now.

The same people responsible for the flash show had a hand in one of those flash scripts from a couple of years ago, right? it would have been awesome if we got some test footage from it to see if warners would have reacted the way that fox has with deadpool.

Yeah, if you haven't been following the news. I've been following all DC-related news since JLM was announced. :woot:

Really it all comes down to WB just not needing to make the films since they make so many types and have access to or can develop other franchises. Marvel does 2-3 films a year and WB does way more than that. But, people keep comparing them when it's really apples and oranges in regards to the churning out of these films.

Ah I see. I never saw it that way.

So Aquaman may have been in MOS.

"Aquaman sent the whales to save Supes and make sure he was okay, which makes sense considering we never actually see how Supes gets back to shore in the film. He sees the whales and then it cuts to him walking on land, which could mean they were saving the swim back for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

i've been saying it since mos came out that if they ever decide to introduce aquaman they could retcon a scene where arthur was responsible for the destruction of that oil rig, though the saving supes part is a different take.

I remember hearing that theory but I've always treated it like the Thor causing the thunderstorm in Incredible Hulk theory something that could happen but probably won't. Well now it this case it's actually more possible.

I love both, but I'll ALWAYS be a DC fan. Always. Marvel movies just don't instill the same sense of joy that i get from watching DC movies/tv. I just love the DC characters SOOO much more and I always have.

What an amazing time to be a DC fan. I really can't believe we're getting all of this over the next few years.

Batman v Superman
Justice League
Shazam
Wonder Woman
Aquaman
Sandman
probably a Batman reboot
probably a MOS sequel
Suicide Squad
Arrow
The Flash
Gotham
Supergirl
Teen Titans
Constantine

what am i missing? this lineup is AMAZING. We just need a solo Green Lantern tv series or movie series now. and I'm sorry, but i completely disagree with the folks that think John Stewart could lead a solo franchise. That's an awful idea. Hal Jordan all the damn way. To the people that think that would be a good idea: please get acquainted with GL outside of JL TAS. You will find that John Stewart is a pretty weak character (stop bringing up Mosaic, it's not even that good, and would be a very boring storyline to build a series around). Hal Jordan has always been the only way to go.

I don't believe it because it's a fan theory and they are 100% wrong

Duuuude Swamp Thing is almost definitely going to be showing up on Constantine and probably later in an eventual Justice League Dark film! Get excited!

I hope we see my homie Etrigan in Constantine as well. How SICK would that be!?

All these DC announcements and no movement on JL Dark? I'm disappointed!

Oh and people-

Be on the lookout for what the Wachowskis are up to, i'd say there is an EXTREMELY high chance that they will be doing a DC movie at some point very soon. They could nail a GL series, but I'd still want to see their take on Plastic Man. Jim Carrey for Plastic Man!

That whole "Aquaman sent the whales to help Superman" thing is the funniest thing ive ever heard. I'd be shocked if people actually believe that.

I actually quite like it, but then again, I did make Deep Blue Sea. :o

Goyer posted this on his page:
The Constantine series is a go! Thank you, NBC, for the pickup. Comic book fans, expect more DCU characters to rear their heads. I wonder what rhymes with “Etrigan”?

I really don't think JL Dark will EVER happen, GDT has a crapload of projects he wants to do and they no doubt already have a plan for their own JL movie, so JL Dark would no doubt have to wait until the DCCU is over (which could easily end up being more than a decade). Aaron Paul has a better chance of being Flash than JL Dark has of being made.

Why would Superman need saving in that MoS scene anyway? He was just resting IMO. I mean he opened his eyes and seemed fine to me.

I never understood that theory either, Clark is physically incapable of drowning.

The report is dumb and just no, but youre assuming Aquaman would just assume he is Superman? An indestructible super alien?

He only has Pac Rim 2 and is doing a small film before going into that one. He seemed very excited about it at Comic Con. Crimson Peak comes out next year.

Yeah idk why people make it out that Del Toro has 5 projects he is for sure doing. He only has 1 project he is for sure doing, besides the black and white thing which I think is a short

Guess you're right, but Aquaman had a hand in the destruction of the rig, youd think he was watching when Cal held up that massive drilling structure. Who knows though.
