I think Goyer could make a case for maybe Sandman because one of the Sandman comics this year had sold the second most issues in that month with Batman being 1.

3rd most popular is obviously Spider-Man...Most people don't know the difference between Gaiman's Sandman, Spidey's Sandman, and the Golden Age Sandman. There's no way Sandman is the third most popular character in comics

I'm one of the few people that like and respect what Goyer has done for the genre. I think he gets a ton of unnecessary hate.

However, he's promoting a show. And he's puffing up the Constantine chest a bit. Unfortunately, he's gone off a bit of a deep end that I will not follow. He's wrong.
