Weird, the writers sai that it would be brainac but singer said earlier this year that he was going to use darkseid for his intended sequel.

so someone slipped El Maybe the script to Superman Returns 2???

I've been sayig it for a while

BVS: Doomsday and Lex
Justice League: Brainiac
Justice League 2: Darkseid

Now that i think about it, Brainiac would be the perfect Justice League villain if they're holding off on Darkseid. I hope it's true.

For Suicide Squad, im glad Deathstroke isn't a part of it. That's not one of the members i think of, when i think of that group.

I like Watchmen, but i don't love it. It's dark but i dont think it's very serious. It has the odd serious scene. But it's not a dark and serious film completely. Only sections.

If deathstroke were in the Suicide Squad to me it would be more they threw him in there to try to sell the movie. I don't get why some are thinking he will be in it, I doubt it, maybe a sequel but not the first one

SR sequel "Man of Steel" Brainiac..........................

Brainiac was confirmed as the original SR sequel villain, but I didn't exactly like the artistic approach.:nono:

Also wouldnt mind HYPERCLAN being villains.Seeing a team of Superheroes fight a team of Supervillains is something awesome to see

Which is still dumb because it humanizes Starro. Starro shouldn't have a prime host. Starro does not need a prime host. Starro is a giant starfish from space. If Starro absolutely needs to speak through one of the meat bags it controls, it should simply choose the most convenient one at the time to do so. Like I said, Starro is love craft. Personifying Cthullu is a bad idea.

I see your piont but wouldnt mind whether or not Starro has a Primehost.

  • Singer’s The Man of Steel takes place several years after Superman Returns where people are used to having Supes back.
  • New Krypton, Lex Luthor’s growing island that Superman tossed into space has grown into a speherical moon that the people of Earth can see.
  • The new moon attracts attention of alien visitors however, and a big alien ship arrives.
  • Superman flies up to check it out. It carries another Kryptonian survivor. Party time.
  • Clark takes his newfound friend on a tour of Earth but this other Kryptonian is puzzled as to why Superman hasn’t used his powers to fix the world of its problems (hunger, war, etc.). I kind of like this guy.
  • Superman explains the rule of not interfering with development of Earth.
  • The visitor disagrees and aims to use his powers to “fix” the world with his first mission being to intervene in a feud between two third world countries. War breaks out but the Kryptonian takes things into his own hands and ends it quickly by annihilating their armies.
  • For his second opening act, the new alien visitor lays down rules for the entire world, saying that there will be no more wars or he will deal with the aggressor country.
  • The big modern societies of the world are in favor of this, applauding the new “hero” who is now willing to share advanced tech and use his powers to end the world’s other problems. Those who disagree feel the wrath.
  • As a result, Earth’s familiar Kryptonian, Superman, has been outcasted since he didn’t do this earlier and kept advanced technology from them.
  • Suspicious of the other Kryptonian, Supes examines the ship to find it loaded with clones of his new friend.
  • Using the ship’s computers, he find out this other Kryptonian and clones are actually an artificial intelligence which has grown on its own since Krypton has destroyed. Its/His name: Brainiac.
  • Over the years since Kryptonian’s explosive end, Brainiac has travelled from world to world, “fixing” them and then destroying them and Earth is his new target. It was Brainiac who actually destroyed Krypton.
  • Superman tries to let the world’s leaders know and ends up battling Brainiac who can continue to resurrect into other clone bodies in stasis.
  • Eventually, the Man of Steel takes down the ship but Brainiac transfers his consciousness into Superman’s kid. Remember him?

I don't think we're getting another superman solo, Man of Steel, BVS, JL, and JL2 will focus a lot on Superman and they will all feature major Superman villains. Zod, Darkseid, Brainiac, Doomsday and Lex will be the villains of the listed films and what more do you even need from a Superman series. They'll be checking off all the major boxes

There must be at least one more solo Superman film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as of right now we don't know anything about who or what will be the focus on future films

If Starro were to be a villain, he should have a Prime Host. I guess if you have to put logic behind it, you could say that Starro injects his hosts with some kind of chemical that has a psychotropic/psychedelic effect, and the prime host basically goes junkie. Then again I'm not too familiar with Starro. :hehe:

All of Ultron I've read is Age of Ultron. While I know the film won't be based off the book, I felt the book was a POS and turned me off of Ultron.
I agree with you on Brainiac fully but take my word for it and don't let one poorly received book put you off. Ultron is a great villain, nothing like your average murderous robot or sterotypical AI that becomes self aware. He has serious personality and psychological issues! Whedon has a thing for him too and I'm sure he'll do him justice. Lets talk again after AoU and see what you think. :yay:

As for Brainiac I didn't really see him as the JL villain, or at least not introed there. I think I'd rather he was a villain in a MoS sequel and specific to Superman as there's a great story there waiting to be told.

Starro is basically the DCU's answer to Cthullu from the works of H.P. Lovecraft. It is a giant, ancient, eternal being that annihilates entire civilizations just as a byproduct of getting out of bed in the morning and has a thought process that is completely alien and unknowable to humans.

Like, one time Starro invaded Earth, and a member of The Endless, a cabal of cosmic beings that are to gods what gods are to humans, had to help bail the JLA out. Starro is a pretty big deal.

I don't know if we'll see enough of the Clark Kent side of Superman and his friends, colleagues, family etc. I think hardcore Superman fans would be missing out if there were not at least one MoS sequel now that the setup has been done.

Starro has potential to be truly terrifying.

Sad he gets overlooked.Hes pretty terryfying

Does it really have to be yet another alien threat, after Avengers and MOS...? I was hoping they'd see the value in a "domestic" threat, take their cues from something like Kingdom Come or the OMAC storyline. If they really wanted to set themselves apart, that is, instead of following the standard superhero team-up formula.
