Battlefield 3 - Part 1

I'm not sure if you're confused or what, but Battlefield 2 was a 360 title and I played it many times. I also played Bad Company extensively, but I skipped BC2.

Either way, I don't understand what your point is.

*making use of double post*

And yes, I said "BC2" when you'd said "BF2." That was because I assumed that in bringing up my old post from ages ago, you had your facts right and simply mistyped the game I was talking about. I assumed wrong, obviously.

Ugh.... This game has the worst tryhards. I can deal with tryhards in COD & Halo. But they're ruthless in this game, finding a good game at my skill level is getting hard.

What do you mean by "tryhard"? Someone who is good at the game?

it means when someone is trying very hard to get high scores, but not helping the team.

the guy on the attacking team who is way in back with a rifle and 12x scope.

Oh man, I ****ing HATE that guy. Especially when they're on your squad and you go to spawn on them and it's like "Wait... what? How are you FURTHER back than the deployment zone?!?"

I do man, which is odd because i preferred Rush over Conquest in BC2.

Yeah thats exactly what I mean, I just find I prefer the way the the maps work on the Conquest modes especially some of the bigger ones where you get more experiece with the vehicles.

See, I love Rush so much more. Conquest can be really fun, but you get to a point in every game where defeat or victory is just assured. What I love about Rush is you can be down to 3 tickets left but still make that final push through, plant and just totally defend your arse off. I find the adreniline and tension in those sections SO amazing and just so unique in general to multiplayer games.

Thts actually a good point, becuase you do glance down sometimes and see the scoreline is something like 135/12 and know what the the outcome will be. And another issue I was gonna bring up in Metro in particular is how its possible to pin the team or be pinned right back into the spawn point and just pick people off as they spawn. Seen that happen quite a few times on that map.

Yeah, I love Metro in Rush and can't stand it in Conquest.

I also love Rush, but I prefer CQ most of the time because there's less morons. I run into so many fools in Rush who don't bother to go after objectives or defend them and are more interested in spawn camping the other team.

Oh i've encountered plenty of fools in CQ too. That's why I like Rush, I feel like a good squad of four can make much more of a difference in Rush than they can in Conquest. You only need to capture and defend on MCOM station, then you can move onto the next. If you only have one competent squad in CQ, it's impossible for all four of you to effectively keep holding onto all three points at one time, and in the meantime the fools on your team are wasting all your tickets. At least in rush, the idiots getting killed can serve as a distraction for a skilled squad.

I completely agree. Best part of the game hands down. There's nothing like setting off that final charge when you only have a few tickets left

While it's not much of an improvement from Bad Company 2 in terms of design, the multiplayer is still as fun as ever and the visuals are much better. The only down side for me right now is the sheer number of advanced players I constantly run up against; I only bought this game a few days ago so I'm only at level 6.

Due to boosting, there were a lot of high levels quickly. Also, some people really dont have anything at all better to do, so they rank up extremely fast. I still haven't hit 30 and i feel like iv put a lot of work into this game.

Boosting? Is that something like double XP?

I don't think it's fair to criticise people just for having high levels... I'm level 25 and I've been balancing this game with Gears, Skyrim, Batman, Assasssins Creed and Saints Row. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have mostly only been playing Battlefield, and it has been out since October.

a lot of people boosted, but also some people just play the game so damn much. If i played as much as i play skyrim, no doubt i would be at least level 45. But im waiting on that patch. also i hate not being able to talk to squad mates, 2 people with mics are fine, add a 3rd and 4th and you might as well mute everyone.

i havnt played the game is over a week sadly, i should play it at least 2-3 times a week. because now when i jump back on i know i will say the game is broken when in reality, im just rusty.

Yeah, I held off on other A-list titles until the holiday season, so I've only been playing BF3. I'm level 45 and about to hit 45+1.

My post wasn't intended to be a criticism of high level players. I just wish there was better match-making for new players who do not have alot of weapons, perks, etc...

I dont really think thats a problem. I mean you can still help out your team with the bare minimum. All ya need is some skill and a gun. I mean i still use the early unlocked equipment(stick to the M4 and M16). The only thing that really helps are the vehicle perks. Having Heat Seekers in a jet go along way to helping you own the air, but even then a good pilot is a good pilot.

No, it was a glitch that would allow you and a buddy to keep shooting your EOD bot and gaining a TON of points. They've since patched it out i believe. They also banned a lot of people for doing. I must of reported 10 or so since the game came out.

You basically hit the nail on the head! It's even worse when they're on your team & not getting the Objectives.

DICE should just add a Big Team Battle game type to this game. The maps would be the size of a Conquest map with vehicle & what not, while the Objective is just to kill. TDM maps are too small for most players it seems.

It has become less of an issue now, but it was frustrating when I first played online at level 1.
