I just hope they don't make Ben Affleck's Batman laugh like a madman as he did in All-Star Batman and Robin The Boy Wonder.

Though it isn't "my" Batman, it would be interesting to see an unbridled Milleresque psychopath just once. Then Superman can set him a good example and lead him back to the path of light.

It isn't just Miller's Batman who is an unbridled psychopath though. Basically all incarnations are psychopathic in some small shape or form.

No, I don't agree. Post 40s and pre 80s, Batman was a driven but relatively balanced individual who appeared to treat his mission as an adventure as well as a millstone.

I really dont care either, we wont see it. But i still find it funny because i like to picture these actors as being Batman and doing everything we see in the movies. And poor Affleck is all upper body!

I think Batman himself wouldn't mind the smaller legs.

Cue complaints that it's animated and unrealistic ;)

I think this totally works for when Batman has to put on a pretend smile for the public. He nails it

And when he's being interviewed by Lois Lane

Keep this in mind. Affleck is under Fincher's direction.

That being said, Affleck will have been in Hollywoodland, Company Men, The Town, Argo, and Gone Girl, giving mostly respectable performances.

How many movies does the dude have to make to not have Gigli or Daredevil brought up?

^ It's hard to make out what he looks like in that pic.

Gone Girl looks like a good movie though.

The Man's got a point right here...

By make, I meant to say be in ;)

Though he did direct The Town and Argo, though Argo's script was sitting in the WB vault for awhile. And it'll be the same writer doing the bulk of Superman/Batman :yay:

That's a meme I can get behind ;)

Funny enough, I think Batsy would be the first to diss Superman :P

That'd be interesting who would disrespect first? I think not in this manner but a spice argument would be really interesting.

Ben has shown on film that he can handle snarky dialogue with the best of them. Think of his collaborations with Smith.

What I want is if the relationship is very tense between the two, that Superman can be forceful and push back against Bruce and not come across as naive, dimwitted or the like. I don't think Timm (the go to template for many a fan's these days) got why so many Superman fans disliked his version of their relationship. Not until the TWILIGHT eps of JL and the later JLU seasons did anything he was a part of really reflect well on Superman and Batman together, and most of that stuff he didn't write.

Clark tries to be sympathetic to people. Bruce doesn't quite try as hard ;)

The "Really" part in my head sounds like he's afraid it's true.

What an awkward image. Why would someone posing in front of his wife's missing person poster even be expected to smile?

It's done that way intentionally.

It's supposedly a very important scene in the book.
