Whatever you say, pal. Maybe the word "fail" doesn't agree with you. I strongly, strongly disagree with your assessment of Bale's casting and performances as they have no clear basis, seem to be conjured up in order to appear contrarian, and reek of stupidity.

Just as disposable a response as your earlier one. Basically addresses nothing that I said nor offers any real point of its own.

meh, at best...

the first thing that sticks out to me are the small ears. im not a fan of that. longer ears make him out to be more bat than man, imo... the overall weathered look pretty cool... not too big a fan of the logo, though... it's okay for what it is, imo...

As I mentioned in another thread, I think the shorter ears could be so that Batman doesn't look even taller than Superman than he already is. The long ears would add a few inches more, and he's already about 3 inches taller than Cavill.

I love this new suit. Would I prefer a different emblem? Yes. Longer ears? Of course. But I more than appreciate their attempt and execution on bringing one of Batman's most iconic looks for the general public to see.

i just think something other than DKR would of been a better style choice. the fact that they chose something that resembles DKR is starting to solidify my suspicion that this movie will almost be like a live action DKR movie instead of a MOS sequel... im just not impressed... i havent been impressed ever since last coimc con when they chose to quote from frank miller's DKR to express their feelings for a MOS sequel...

Well, I'd like to think it'll be something more like issue #3 of John Byrne's Man of Steel, with some shades of TDKR.

I'm not going to call a movie great or crappy before I see it and I'm not going to pretend that I've read a script when I haven't. If I don't like the film, you guys will hear about my dislike. If I don't like plot details or a trailer you will hear about that as well but I am not going to prematurely dislike a film that hasn't even started shooting yet. All these films take parts from classic comicbooks. I'll wait until I have something to hate before I hate it thankyou very much.

No, most people are happy with the suit, I'm responding to Super Kal's post. And then I elaborated further because that post didn't get my full point across.

Some Superman fans are convinced that this film is going to make Superman look bad and I'm not ready to say that until I hear plot details/someone reads the script and tells us that it makes him look bad. Any influence from Frank Miller=this next film is going to 100% follow a comicbook they hated.

The whole Dark Knight Returns thing is starting to bother me. This really screams Jim Lee's Batman from Hush as well the Batman's New 52 look. How is that not clear to some people?

The short ears on the cowl is not just a Miller thing, and this cowl really doesn't look much like Miller's cowl designs anyway. Aflleck's suit is pretty much flawless, IMO, and I've only seen this one shot. Can't wait for more...

I'd say almost everyone is thrilled. I mean, really, what is there to not be thrilled about? But of course, there are a few nitpickers in the bunch, plus the Marvel fanboy who are coming over the woodwork to make sure this isn't a wholly positive day for us all.

I'm just seeing the pic on a phone so its not the clearest image for me but it looks alright to me. I don't have an issue with it, it fine. I'm not gonna go dancing through the streets because its just a suit guys. That said, it looks fine to me. I wanted to actually see Gal more but that's just me.

I'm liking the brooding nature of the picture. I kind of want to see them contrast Superman's outward hopefulness and very youthful emotive nature with Batman's subdued and sometimes sorrowful countenance. Ultimately, both men are very altruistic, but Batman's been beaten down a bit more.

Nice to see a splattering of positivity and buzz surrounding the project, kinda shows you regardless of whos behind the scenes and in the suit, regardless of what ever manufactured negativity is out there or how big certain other projects get, the bat still draws more than most, like it's 08, like it's 89, like it's 66.

So Snyder has the look down, i don't think people doubted that he wouldn't, now what about Afflecks voice?

You aren't wrong, i just think it's his overall bulkiness and the fat emblem that makes me think of miller.
