You do understand this is a new incarnation of Batman that has no relation with the Nolan trilogy right?

No. I am a complete and total idiot that hasn't the sense that God gave the common dog.... Zod in heaven!!!

My point is, that your post was pretty over the top and.... WAIT FOR IT... inaccurate as to the actual events of the film and pretty hypocritical if one if going to judge ones actions in TDKT (alternate version or not) and the others in MOS using the same standard.

Superman did not knock down the buildings in Metropolis, his battle with Zod actually doesn't level the city and it is Zod that topples ONE building with his heat vision. Does he punch Clark through some buildings? Yep. Not the same as knocking them down. The vast majority of the damage is from the Black Zero/World Engine gravity beam attack. The one that Superman stops on the other side of the world.

If Batman is indeed the world's greatest detective then... Yeah he's going to know all this. Plus.... "ONE RULE" or not (you know that ONE RULE that he breaks and or finds a loop hole for in TDKT constantly yet fans never call him on?) I'd think Bruce would understand Superman stopping a genocidal madman that had just proven he was more than capable of killing every man, woman and child on Earth, only this time with his bare hands. But please.... Continue with thinking the way you do in spite of the actual evidence of the film itself and please continue to judge the characters differently so as to make Bats look good.
YEEEEEEESSSHHH!!!

Yeah but if he's the great detective, shouldn't he be able to put the pieces together before passing the sentance?

Damn man I was just pointing out what I wanted to see in the film and was just wondering if you knew about this and the Nolan movies.

Regardless. I want at least once confrontation with Batman. He can't just let that pass. I'm not saying they're arch enemies. I just don't want them to automatically start working together.

Damn. He looks to be in phenomenal shape. Certainly we've been lucky with the level of commitment that he and Bale have shown in getting into the right shape for their respective first outings as the character.

Truly, I look at Ben and I see a slightly older version of the Adams/Aparo Batman. And it makes me smile each time.

Umm... By that standard Batman better go after that dude in Gotham that let Ra's Al Ghul die on a monorail after he had a police Sgt. use missiles to take out the tracks. Or that dude that ran over cop cars with cops inside using a tank like vehicle. That's the same guy that supposedly has a strict no guns policy yet every vehicle he owns has them. They are the same type of guns this guy used to shoot at a manned truck to kill it's driver, intentional or not, so he could get a nuclear weapon out of Gotham. Of course this isn't an excuse, that he was trying to save the whole city. It's still MURDER, right? Oh, this guy also fly a military grade aircraft through the city and while evading missiles aimed at him he allowed them to crash and explode into skyscrapers with zero regard to the occupants. That guy, with his reckless disregard for life.... yeah I hope Batman catches him soon. :whatever:

:applaud :lmao:

Dont really see the point of comparing the Nolan version to a newer version that we haven't even seen yet. With that said, I never had a problem with how Nolan handled deaths of villians, and I didn't really have a problem with what happened to Zod in MoS either. I do have other problems with all of those films.

Exactly, it looks bad on Batman if he attacks someone like Superman without fully understanding the truth about him, I wouldn't like a batman that gets manipulated into fighting Supes. If he's going to fight him, then it should be in self defense (like DKR)

It depends on who is doing the manipulation though. If Riddler was behind it I'd call bs. Now, Ra's, Brainiac or as is most likely for this film LEX LUTHOR, the greatest crimanil mind of our time (much love Mr. Hackman)? That's a different story, especially if it's before Bruce has a true inkling of Lex's true personality. As a character Lex should be one of the few people on the planet that can and would play Bruce for a fool. That's my take.

So to some, Batman is clever enough to work out Superman can't see through lead, but too stupid to be able to work out Superman saved the world...

I enjoy the Batman; I positively hate the Batgod.

Yeah I would actually love to see Batman get a little manipulated by Lex. It would show that Lex's strength is in his intellect and that if someone can manipulate THE Batman then they are a force to be reckoned with.

The JL cartoon was filled with such battles and nobody cared. Same with Avengers. The problem was that after the battle Superman just kissed Lois in the crater. If they dont want to spend time and money in boring scenes where he rushes people to a hospital, that's fine, but dont have him make out after such destruction. It's like making out after the airplanes hit the WTC. You just dont do that.

Actually "after the battle" (the one with Zod), Superman breaks down and screams and falls on his knees in front of Lois. The kiss happens right after he saves Lois from falling to her death. Again, let's not let the actual events in the film or their sequence get in the way of our critiques. This is the internet after all.

PS as a New Yorker that lived through 9/11 I can assure you people did all sorts of thing to cope and express themselves that might come of as "crass" to the judgemental but is keeping with actual living, breathing human nature. They drank, did drugs and had sex among other things. You know what I did as soon as I got off the phone with my parents? I went looking for the woman I loved. I kissed her too. I guess I just am an immoral monster along with all the other New York residents that did similar things that very day and later into the that night.

Bless you dude!

I agree Tra KI is a strong guy and people probably shouldn't compare disasters to fictional movies it's kind of disrespectful.

In Batman's eyes, Superman is a murderer.
Yeah, right.... he did it for fun and Batman for the smart guy he's won't know that Zod can't be stopped nor imprisoned. well...:doh::doh::doh:

I mean THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST RIDICULOUS THINGS I've ever heard that I wonder if they see the movie or just want to "$"$ and troll about Superman just for fun.
Did SUPERMAN know what was happening there? did he see the actions and done nothing? NOOOO!!! He was risking his life without full power and stopping the machine that was killing and destroying. He saw the woman he LOVES falling and after all he went through that he might never see her again and then see her falling and then when he almost got sucked in the phantom zone yeah he would never be ALLOWED TO FEEL cause he was raised with humans and he feels like a human that's Superman. Superman is not a robot. I guess that's what many can't handle that this SUPERMAN isn't the omnipresent being that only do everything perfect and CAN'T feel like a being. THIS SUPERMAN HAS FEELINGS

God bless you.

You know the same old nonsensical stuff that is only seen in this movie but in other real worst cases "disguised".

By the way why discuss this in a Batman thread? I guess some just can't deal with it already, and use every single opportunity to mention it. It's kind of irritating now.

Wow... Sorry for derailing the thread.

So... Um... How about that BatFleck and his awesome costume?
