As I understand it, you were implying that the Batsuit and improved fight scenes are enough to make this version of Batman better than Bale's. If so, then yes, my post was replying to yours. If not, then I'm afraid I misunderstood.

My bad. I suppose I am overly sensitive to people trashing the TDK trilogy in favor of the shiny new stuff.

I would also contest the notion that something being visually suitable makes up for weakness in other, more important areas. TASM2 featured the most sublime Spider-Man costume ever seen. It was perfection. Same goes for Cavill's look and physicality as Superman. But neither of those films really resonated with me. I have no desire to watch either ever again, whereas I could watch the TDK trilogy or TWS or DOFP over and over.

Why? If there is any superhero trilogy that no fan should ever feel the need to be validated on, it's that one. They are all generally acclaimed and financially successful, they have a significant following and a place in cinema history (let alone cbm history) why be insecure about it? People have the right to poke holes at it however they want.

Personally regardless of whatever flaws it has (legit claim or not) I'm wholly satisfied that I got MY batman films and that nothing is touching that quality and dignity for a very very long time, I'm just excited to see something different and fresh and new.
