There are pics of Ben walking around in schmedium t-shirts and his physique still didn't look anywhere near as cut as Henry's does. Henry is in phenomenal shape and people need to stop trying to downplay that. Ben's got height advantage so it will be okay.

Ben has the bulk and muscles. His Batman is going to be older and a little worn down, so the physique doesn't call for being super cut or chiseled.

He's still in great shape, though.

Even not accounting for the size and perspective difference in the shots and the fact the suit was made before the photo on the right, the suit is still padded. The delts, biceps, triceps, forearms are all visibly padded.

I give MUCH more credit to non-juicers for their achievements (see Henry Cavil), but you still gotta put in the heavy lifting to get results. Kudos to Mr. Gibson for obviously doing that at his age.

Gibson ain't sick inducingly roided, his arm looks very swole and sculpted but it doesn't look horribly roided or anything.

Yes, I understand that of course there will be a muscle suit under the batsuit. I was just trying to say that even without a muscle suit, he would be almost there or about 60% there.

I have little doubt that Cavill is more devoted than Affleck. IMO based on the MoS extras and BTS videos, his commitment was up there with Stallone and Schwarzenegger in role prep. Not to mention Gym Jones in his corner.

For now I'm going to say it's unlikely Affleck (and backed pretty heavily by the candid photos we've seen) will have the same commitment for his role. I'll change my mind when similar photos or videos surface as those of Cavill for MoS.

I've addressed this before, but the problem is Ben Affleck was doing movie that had him play a middle age writer husband in Gone Girl, and he only had like 4-5 months to prepare. Also he has 3 kids and a production company and is doing prep work for his next film which he starts filming after BvS. It's not commitment, it's time.

I completely disagree. Batman and Superman have always been similarly built...they've both always been muscular, broad men.

Comparing them to RDJ and Hemsworth isn't the same at all. Stark has always been a scientist/playboy. He's always been portrayed as slim.

Compare that to this.

Then see how close Bats and Supes are portrayed.

Affleck looks fine to me. He's playing Batman. Not Hercules. I always expect more from Superman's physique than Batman's.
