BvS Ben Affleck IS Batman - - Part 17

I kind of wish we'd see him go all DBZ and use some stuff recovered from the gravity beam to create some sort of device to "keep testing his limits" at an Arctic Fortress... But yeah, probably not in the cards.

I would love to see Ben's Bruce training hard core. The way they do things on ARROW is spot on. Bruce and Ollie would have to spend a lot of time honing the body and reaction time along with skill and technique. That's something that Nolan didn't get toi deep into that I felt was a missed opputunity.

You'll never see me crap on Stallone. The man has looked awesome for years and one can only hope to look like that at 67. Yes he's a fan of dat dere but it's still healthier than taking an aspirin or drinking alcohol like crazy.

As for Affleck he's definitely looking good.

Affleck looks great.

Unfortunately, Stallone is juicing, as he always had been. Steroids get it done. He has already admitted because of his short frame and his inability to hold onto the muscle he needs to juice.

Affleck looks bulky, broad, strong. Not ripped. I never liked that ripped look for bats anyway. Thick strong torso and broad shoulders is enough.

Why is it unfortunate? He's not in a professional sport where it is illegal? (Every pro bodybuilder is on it anyways). He's taking it because he wants to have the best body he can for as long as he can. At that age, I'd say it's fair game if that's what he wants.

Yes, Affleck just needs to look like this out of the suit, which i feel he already does.

It's unfortunate because it does take its toll on the body, and for that reason sends the wrong message to others. Look at Arnold. Is it relly okay to take that crap because you are not a pro?

You definitely can't use Jim Lee's drawings to make your point, since every single man has the same body with him (not to mention almost the same face).

Alright.

There. No Jim Lee. Batman has never looked significantly smaller than Superman, and most certainly not to the degree of Tony Stark compared to Thor. I find that hilarious.

To be honest, do we actually know that Stallone still juices? He openly admits to the HGH but then again, HGH is not illegal and is medically prescribed to older folk who have joint problems, but just so happens that it also helps in building muscle. Is there a chance that Sly is just using HGH, training his arse off and eating right, as opposed to roiding?

As.for Arnold, has his previous heart problem actually been attributed to years of steroid use? Seem to recall a hereditary heart problem in the family as his dad had the same thing.

I always thought the comics and graphic novels portrayed their physiques similarly, to convey a sense of them being equals through aesthetics.

That said, judging from the revealed Batsuit and the fact Affleck's Bats is a veteran and older than Cavil's Supes, it's great Snyder is seemingly making an aesthetic distinction with their body shapes: Cavil's is a more classically youthful and tapered, while Affleck's is more heavyset, more stout around the waist.

You're being judgmental. It's not your place to ask if it's okay, or to call it unfortunate. It's within his rights. Besides, he isn't playing Superman and he's not the posterboy for any humanitarian organization. He doesn't have to worry about whether he's sending the right message.

If anything, you should be more worried about Henry Cavill and his self-admitted drinking habit. He's playing Superman, the pinnacle of righteousness. Yet we see him at bars quite frequently. There are even pics of him where he is clearly hammered. Yet you choose to judge the 67 year old Stallone for taking gear to have that body at that age? Not fair.

I myself would never, ever even consider taking steroids and I have my reasons for that. I also don't think its right to judge a nearly 70 year old man for taking them (which is not even confirmed). Sly looks great and he's having a blast doing all this Expendables stuff in his twilight years. I won't judge him for it.

You can't criticise a British person for getting hammered. It's part of our culture.

People are still claiming that? :lmao:

Amazing that they can be so dogmatic about how Batman should look while still getting the actual comics so wrong.

Looking forward to a new pic released of Ben as Batman complete with a full look of the Batsuit as we'll get to see the mass muscles he's built up for the role.

I think you guys are missing the point of how long this movie is going to be filming. Who's to say that he won't be wearing more layers etc early on in the shoot and if he needs to be shown more, that they'd possibly hold it off till later in the shooting?

I'm a Stallone fan through and through. Half the guys we talk about so much here want to be like Stallone.

By the way, HGH is not the same as steroids.
A Stallone fan here too. He's of course a great and legendary star - few other people have done as much for action cinema as he has done.

It does look like it. Look at the skin. Look how it looks frazzled, amost corroded, yet his abs are still defined. Look at the texture of the skin. Look at the right pec looking almost collapsed.

This isn't a pretty picture and it definitely "looks" roided. His body seems to be barely held together. It looks extremely unhealthy and unaesthetic if anything.

It's called OLD man Skin. Every guy his age has it. The only difference is that He's actually ripped at his age.

Exactly. I'm a weightlifter and am devoted to this. Its' unfortunate that he feels the need to juice at his age and destroy his body. Much rather see him take on roles befitting of his powerful mind. Clint Eastwood is a bad ass in his movies and he doesn't look like a bag of **** shoved in a sock.

That is mainly due to a severe tear in that muscle while filming Rocky II. He was having a bench pressing competition and was way out of his league and paid for it.

I believe Stallone uses HGH but I think his skin mainly looks that way from sun damage and the fact that he's 68. Yea, he has very little water in his skin most likely from substances but I think that plays a smaller role.

Back to Affleck, I think the suit will satisfy us all wen it comes to "is he big enough" argument.

Nah, I'm good with Sly and Arnold doing their thing as action stars. They were never the best at acting and I doubt they could change that now no matter the role.

 He's 68. What did you expect? Your description of his skin would fit nearly anyone at that age...

Again, people being judgmental...If he's having fun doing what he loves, why do some people feel the need to call it unfortunate? There's a discrepancy between what you think he should be doing and what he wants to do. That does not make it unfortunate.
