Dude, the fights are going to be crazy good. I bet the visuals will be just as amazing, too.
I bet the visuals of Batman kicking Superman's ass all over Metropolis are going to be pretty amazing.![]()
Real-life is not a fancy feast of movie martial arts. Especially when adrenaline kicks in AND you're wearing a heavy suit. Affleck's suit or Bale's...it's heavy and constricting.
The visuals will be awesome. Im looking forward to that too. But everytime im on here, that's all you 'regulars' talk about.

maybe this will cheer shauner up.
"didn't make sense not to crash this plane
'cause i gotta bigger one an' mah name is bane"
A world-class ninja would die fighting mercenaries? I dont think so.And in real life, Batman would die attempting to fight criminals like that.
So, yah know, real life goes both ways, man.
You're only funny 3 times out of 10.
Didn't find it funny.Maybe this will cheer shauner up.

Is he an old grump? Does he give a damn about Gotham or does he think Gotham will always be pathetic, so he's just doing this to kick the s**t out of criminals? Is he an ass to his Robins, Alfred and Gordon?
All this dissing on Nolans fight scenes. I enjoy both styles, why does everyone have to pick a side. You all want flashy, hard-hitting Hollywood kung-fu...and so do i. But i want it for this version. I also enjoyed Nolans rawer, more realistic fight scenes. Impact, that's what it was. Forget extras falling down almost out of the frame for a second, and just think about the actual fighting. It was a different method, nothing fancy about the editing (excluding Begins). Real-life is not a fancy feast of movie martial arts. Especially when adrenaline kicks in AND you're wearing a heavy suit. Affleck's suit or Bale's...it's heavy and constricting.
Yes, i want Affleck's Batman to be quicker, flashier, yet still brutal. I dont mind him breaking bones. Make the cape CG during the fight scenes if they want. I dont care. But everyone loves putting Nolan down. Well, it's not a crime to like the Bale fighting AND wish for something different with Affleck.

Maybe it's just me, but i enjoyed Winter Soldier and the fighting was amazing. But i dont need it to go on so long. Im usually like "K cool, he knows how to fight, that was cool, but now let's get to a proper scene where the characters are doing something other than kicking the crap out of each other.
I dont have the hard-on for fight sequences as much as you guys perhaps. Throw Snyder on that list. As long as i see some impact, some conflict, that's cool. But a good fight scene doesn't make or break a character/movie for me. That's not what i think about when i walk out of the cinema. If i walk out and go "man the fights were insane"...it wasn't that good of a movie then, if that's what im taking away from the experience.
Ninja or not, i know he can fight. It wouldn't bother me if Nolan never showed Batman fighting, ever. Just Begins-like creeping around in the shadows, taking f'ers out off camera. Like Bale once said, if it up to him to make his own Batman movie, it wouldnt have all these special effects & fighting, it would be something weird and character based. I'd love to see something like that in the future. But it wont happen because people want to be entertained by explosive fighting between superheroes. Which is cool, but it's only a bonus for me. I can live without it.

I would agree with this notion, if we're to base it off what the director is capable of. Nolan clearly isn't as well articulated in the art of action choreography, so it wouldn't bother me one bit if there was zero "action" at all. I'd much rather have no rating for it, rather than a negative impression. It wouldn't bother me if Nolan never showed Batman fighting, ever. .
I hope Snyder takes note, because in many ways MOS was a film of him trying to be something he's not. And imo he failed in quite significant areas as a result. A full-on Snyder film, I feel, would've been a lot more successful.
nor am I going into a Batman movie expecting a nuanced character study.
