I still didn't see much fear in him, in this tease. I saw him being a little curious in the beginning then royally pissed at Superman. No fear.

Bruce is smart, he won't go strait at Superman... he needs to figure what he is first.

I wonder if Lex somehow uses/abuses Bruce/Batman's knowledge of Superman in the film?

Affleck keeps showing that he's going to nail the role perfectly!

I mean, look at that face. The fury. JESUS! :mrk:

Ben's facial expressions so far are everything I'd hoped Bale would bring to the table back when he was cast.

Better late than never. :o

Everything I've seen of Affleck's Bruce/Batman so far has been to my utter satisfaction. Bring on March 25!

Yeah, everything we've seen tells me he's going to kill it, but it's still not a lot to go on.

He just looks so on point, it's nuts. Out of the suit, he looks like a perfect Bruce Wayne. In the suit, he looks like the goddamn Batman.

If they don't show this same clip but with Batman and Superman finally speaking to eachother in the trailer, I don't know what I'll do. And yes, so far, Affleck is selling it and I'm buying it full price.

His facial expressions? Hate to burst your bubble, but Bale did the rage thing as Bruce and he delivered the same bat-turns like in this teaser.

I dig his expression at the end, and at the same time, i think it's a little too much ANGRY faces in these trailers, coming from Ben and Henry. It's like EVERY shot of these guys is a ANGER face. We get it, they're pissed, let's see some variety in the full trailer now please.

In case it wasn't clear, I thought Bale's attempt at anger/rage was done poorly. So no, bubble is still in tact.

Bale's attempts at rage in the trilogy were severely hampered by the voice.

Bale's an intense guy. You know he can do anger in his sleep. But it's hard to take him seriously when he's overcompensating with angry throaty yelling voice.

Except for the first 'where are the drugs going' scene, where it feels like Bats is putting on a show, I thought Bale's angry yelling felt very sincere, especially in the Joker interrogation.

From time to time I watch his audition tape and wonder what the hell happened between 2005 and 2007.

Short of the film itself, I'm most anticipating Ben's take on the voice. I don't know if I can take all this perfection and then be let down with that last part.

I didn't mind Bale's Bat voice, but I can't see Affleck going down that direction. He's bound to do his own rendition.

The whole Rachel scene that in BBegins in the monorail station and the bat cave were the best.

Honestly, all he needs to do is deepen his voice a notch. It's not difficult to do. It doesn't need to be that much.

Affleck in the past several trailers has shown quite a range-fear, anger, broodiness, determination, and cynicism. I'm not saying he'll be the best live action Batman, but I really think Snyder can pull it off.

Lol, I'd probably put most of those on the same side of said range..

Affleck looks like he'll easily top Bale as "The Batman", but I'll be very, very surprised if he can surpass Bale without the mask.

Sure, but there's this massive spotlight now thanks to Bale and I'm sure Ben is aware of it. Question is whether that will affect how he approaches the performance. Ben has applauded Bale in the part, after all.

Funnily enough, Bale had the perfect Batman voice when he first addresses Ra's al Ghul.

"I seek the means to fight injustice. To turn fear against those who pray on the fearful."

Would've been great.

I feel exactly the same. I think people take Bale's Bruce performance for granted just because Bale is such a great actor. But he really brought so much heart to the role. He can sell so much with a simple look. Just like Keaton.

Another point to add would be that Nolan is more of an actor's director than Snyder. Snyder is more about the imagery than the performance. While I expect Affleck to trump Bale in authenticity,as well as the quintessential Batman stuff, on an emotional/character level, I don't expect him to surpass Bale.
