Not sure what you mean, since that's the original Alfred.
Just because it's the original Alfred, it doesn't mean it's great. I don't like it, and there's a reason why they changed characters like Alfred, Joker, and Batman himself as the years went on. The original Batman used a gun and killed people and i think it's rubbish.

Batfleck has both the soft features as Bruce and the strong jawline and lips as Batman. And build. See the full list of expressions and Batman awesomeness so far

Why the heck is Bale thrown in there??

Why does Batmans suit have to be "beautiful". He's a goddamn demon of the night.

Hey i love Batfleck's suit like the rest of you guys. But as long as Batman isn't looking like a panzy ass ***** when he's in action, or some kind of exaggerated alien batman looking thing then im good with the suit. Ive never been THAT fussy with Batsuits and batcaves. So far they're all pretty solid in the movies. They fit the character and universe and that's the most important thing to me. Not taking a shot of a suit out of context or worshipping it. It's a suit. I'd rather have a discussion about something interesting, like character development instead of going over the same stuff like "DOESN'T BEN LOOK SO GOOD IN THAT BAT SUIT! OMG GUYS ISN'T HE SO BUFF!! LOOK AT THAT JAWLINE!". We know, he looks good, that's mainly why he was cast.

Yes, I know that. It was my "pedantic, semantics" post of the day. I actually don't even want that Alfred, I'm perfectly fine with the Alfred that has helped raise Bruce, even if we have seen it a million times. I don't expect Iron's Alfred to be different in that regard.

Add Leslie Thompkins to the proceedings as too and you have my attention.

Waiting for the inevitable blackface one. :o

why didn't they have the black eye makeup as part of scene?

Seeing Ben with the eye makeup, I bet he'd look pretty cool wearing a Nightwing mask.

All this time, Batman was really... the Winter Soldier? :oldrazz:

I have no doubts about Affleck as Bruce. He already looks promising, my concern is his Batman persona. Especially when he's already said worrisome things like "I just let the suit do the work". Really has me wondering if he's really as knowledgeable about the character as people seem to tote. Still.. Hoping for the best, I mean aside from Wilkinson's ingenious Batsuit, Affleck definitely looks the part.

I think what he was trying to say is that you don't want to overact when you're behind the cape and cowl. An outfit like the Batsuit already exudes a tense and ominous vibe -- it's kind of built-in. While there's certainly nothing wrong with Batman having a temper tantrum on occasion, I've always been more partial to iterations of the character where, saying very little, he uses psychology to play upon the fears of criminals. In so doing, he wins the battle before it's even fought. If that's what Ben was going for in his portrayal, I'm all for it.

That's how I read it as well. Very well put.

That's exactly how I undertood Affleck's comments; pleople usually tend to go to extremes when trying to understand comments like this one.

I dig the art because it's in the cave but also away from it all. With the water and rock face merely providing a backdrop through the glass. Nice and tidy.

Except Keaton said the same thing in multiple interviews.

I think Batfleck will be fine.

On the comment of the suit doing the work think about it..... If you are Ben and you are well versed in the character, you put that gear on and you just kind of become a character. Don't over reach, don't overact, yes, but just being in that gear probably puts him in a different mode, a mind set rather then acting.

Clooney and Kilmer were given rather campy moments and they are the least admired for their depictions, but look at the material they were given.

Burton, and Nolan had darker visions of what the Batman was, Snyder may have the darkest yet....... Clearly he is deeply conflicted in the film.
