I just want grey because I just want something different. The Arkham suit is just amazing. But no blue on batman.

How can anyone argue what is scarier grey or black? Neither is scary nor non scary, they are colors

If I can get an Arkham type suit I will be happy

Everybody knows black is the scariest color there is.

:o

As for my vote, it's a good choice especially if it's true he's helping with the script.

I wonder if the Internet is what killed petitions and allowed the protest anything clowns to take over.

The War In Iraq
Ben Affleck as Batman

In JLU it looked good but all the actual costumes I have seen do have a sense of corny and funny, especially clothe and tights. The best costume I can recall is Keaton's.

Jersey Girl has been on Starz recently. It unfortunately is lumped into the Gigli fold because it was released not too far after and Jennifer Lopez was of course in it.

The Town and Argo redeemed Ben. It took a good few years. While Jennifer's booty on the other hand instantly redeemed her :p

Yeah sure Ben can't act:

THANK YOU. Finally some gets it

I would be thrilled to see a very dark blue or black cowl/cape and gray body armor topped off with a yellow disc highlighted black bat symbol. These days THAT is actually the bold choice in a live action adaptation.

Why is poll closed, I didn't have my say :\

I don't know if this was post already but it's pretty cool

fanboys lack imagination and need their actors to in everyday life look like the character why do you think naturally creepy looking crispin glover was fan cast as joker while heath was laughed at?

same with keaton who looks even less intimating than ben he was a short,balding,39 year old comedian

I distinctly remember the fanboy community FLIPPING ITS LID when they announced Michael Keaton was going to be 1989's Batman. Back then, we didn't have the internet or the Hype! to express ourselves. All we had were our phones and boy were they on fire!

Things got quiet real quick though once that trailer hit. And there was nothing but silence and praise after the film actually dropped.

This is an accurate sentiment, but as I will continue to point out whenever it is made: the problem here isn't that we've never seen Ben Affleck in this kind of role before. The problem is, we have.
People can make the argument that Ben Affleck has come a long way since then as an actor (something I disagree with), but it's important to remember this isn't just fanboys being asked to give an untested actor a chance (which is hard enough already). This is fanboys being asked to give someone a second chance after being burned.

A BAFTA is a British Oscar.

Unfortunately nobody outside, or even inside the UK care :o

Keaton was a pretty hot topic, but I think most fans were worried about having another "campy" take on Batman more than anything. They thought they were getting another Adam West version of Batman, cause Keaton was a comedian. I know once people started to see trailers/previews, they really came around to see exactly what Burton was doing.

I requested some 70's Batman manips for the arkham suits in the costume thread.

He looks pretty awesome, I wouldn't sneer if they went with something akin to that but I'm certain they won't.

Obviously, there would need to be more cloth-based texture and padding for a movie suit. But I love the mask and the "clothmail" look for lack of a better word.

I know that feeling, bro :cwink:
